Are you satisfied with War Within so far?

I was until the last few weeks. The amount of changes has made this game so unstable, it’s not worth playing any longer.

Don’t talk with your butt, there is content. You just don’t want to do it.

No one wants to do a lot of things in this game.

Example: I started off farming for the Alunira mount, I got zero crackling shards for a week of farming, so I just gave up.

There is a REASON we don’t want to do this crap. Try it out for yourself.

TL;DR:

pros: delves are fun. zekvir sucks but i beat him!

cons: laggy, sludgey game. too many “fixes”, downtime, game crashes

i am maining a guardian druid and am enjoying the flexibility of druid. i’ve gotten guardian to 2k m+ in DF, but it is the only toon i have at 80 right now and actually running a main.

i have hardly touched m+ yet. i’ve just run one +2. more to come. i will try for 2k rating in s1. i feel like even m0 is overtuned, but i look forward to moving forward over the next week and trying to push up into +4/5 to get 2k rating. At 608 ilevel, i feel prepared. (Illidan would disagree)

i have mostly run delves and have had a good time.

zekvir’s lair was a serious challenge. the tuning of it and the rng nature of it are not good.

delve 8 suggest 600 ilevel as does zekvir ?. i think a lot of classes/specs can complete a D8 in the 590-600 ilevel range and then have no real chance at zekvir ?. zekvir should be a step up in complexity and difficulty, but it shouldn’t be impossible at that same ilevel. I had to get to 605 with specific curious (that drop randomly) at 4/4. I spent hundreds of thousands of gold on enchants, consumables, etc. leading up to my ulimtate kill.

p.s. you get a toy and a backpiece cosmetic. yawn

They got rid of most of the workforce and that is for all across Blizzard, not just WoW. So stuff such as all your maxed out Diablo 3 toons going away and there being no history of them even existing and then in WoW having some of your items from your guild bank randomly disappear or how the new guild UI is super glitchy to the point to where it displays guild info super incorrectly or having looting bugs to where when you try to loot certain things in classic it will dc you and lots of other bugs. Yea sorry to say but I’m kinda thinking WoW wont be around long enough for the trilogy of expacs to launch. If World of WarCraft even exists in 2025 I’ll be pretty surprised to say in the least.

Yep. Already feel like I’ve got my money’s worth. I said it before the season and it’s held up now, this is the most fun I’ve had in wow since Legion

Blizzard takes 60 hours worth of content and squishes it into 2 hours. And meanwhile takes 2 hours worth of content and stretches it to last 60 hours.

Surprisingly going with a yes on this one.

Zones are better visually, design wise, and there are clear themes/events in each; DF failed miserably here. Most WQ are fairly painless, however the gold reduction on Dragon Racing WQ is a bummer.

Crafting is profitable overall; pricing and enchant impact is kind of ehhh atm, hopefully this will level out in the coming weeks.

Balance wise we need a few more weeks of m+ and raid data. There is definitely some tuning to be done as well, but things don’t seem too out of whack class wise.

The raid content is very solid overall, I think this may be the first patch in awhile where there isn’t one or two bosses that feel absolutely horrible to do on mythic.

Jury is out on delves for me, already useless content for anyone raiding mythic or higher keys.

M+ is fun overall, I like the emphasis on mechanics this time around. Boss tuning still required, and people need to actually use defensives properly; learning curve for this needs to be addressed as the difficulty ramp with the level squash makes keys hard more quickly. The gilded crest acquisition seems low and or restrictive.

The story is largely unobtrusive, which I don’t mind as the writing is garbage since wotlk. I’m glad we’re past the whole “let’s come together and everything is butterflies and rainbows” story.

Bar m+ tuning, solid expac/patch so far.

Just get rid of Ion, for god’s sake.

I’d say it’s amazing how unremarkable the story is while having so much energy put into cinematics, lore, and zone art design. Earthen are a very bland boring and monotone race that don’t help the story pacing at all. Nothing about the game excites me or gets me interested and I’m only doing it hoping things get more interesting later on. A lot of the campaign feels more like a teen novel than a well built high quality story that makes the world feel meaningful and alive. Rings of Power is more interesting to me than this story so far. So far most of this feels fairly low energy or more of the same than anything truly impressive. I had to try hard to find good content in the side quests and in Delves mostly to get some fun out of it.

Sure you can shell out raids, M+, and whatever else and players will keep doing those even if 100,000 are left playing the game. But in the end of the day you either have an exciting narrative that holds my attention or I just get bored and pop in for various patches to see if anything fun happened, or worse just ignore most of the expansion like I did WoD. Heck I pretty much skipped out on most of the beginning of BfA and the second patch cause I hardly cared until Mechagon and Nazjitar hit (culminating in a fairly good N’zoth finish).

Idk why a lotr type inspired rpg is so bad at world building and side narrative in the zones. It feels at times too campy or cheesy and not serious or interesting enough and lacking much depth. As if they just plop down npc’s in random areas and make up a disconnected story that just exists in its own mostly boring corner of the world with throwaway stories and characters. Where’s the depth to it all? Where is the threat in the world? You’re telling me this was the best Xal’atath could do? So far it all just feels so weak and unthreatening, unscary, and a bit amateurish. Especially for someone who was said to know all our capabilities and is ready for us.

Ion is the only one over their cooking.

He was right about flying. He was right about covenants. He was right about tier set bonuses.

What has he not been right about?

Very.

Best version of Wow for people who can’t find groups to play with… ever.

Patron orders, follower dungeons, warbands, delves, story mode - all great additions.

I had low expectations but I am pleased.

It’s alright.

The story in hallowfall could have been better.

Hero specs fell short by allot (templar should had been 2-hand/sheild baised and herald adds nothing to the rotation, both uses wakes to activate for example)

But it had been a bit more enjoyable so far then DF. Just wish steady riding is not an unlock.

I wish I could downvote you for such a useless, disingenuous response.

No, it never was, really. It’s a game.

I’m satisfied with parts of the game, disappointed in other parts.

I haven’t cancelled yet.

it certainly feels like a nice cozy wow expansion this time around

with great rewards for solo players

Same with me in regards to you.

Maybe not to you, because trolling the forums is more your thing, peace.

You can derive meaning from whatever you want in life, others can’t dictate that.

Btw, you being hidden doesn’t protect you like you think it does.

Profile, Preferences, Users, ignored, go to “Add”, type in Forumtoon-Silvermoon (it selects server for you automatically), duration- forever.

Good game, I’m enjoying myself.
