Are you happy with tanks being as OP as they are now?

Most tanks from what I’ve seen are self reliant, do a lot of dps, and are not fragile that it looks like they’re made of paper.

Haven’t had any issues with finding tank players and seems they’re having a good time. Imo this should just be the standard compared to what we had before. Where they are made of paper, and don’t contribute much to damage, and their best playstyle is to run away from the packs…

Which also tends to follow with less people seeming to want to play tanks.

Per title,

Absolutely. There is never enough tanks.

I just wish there was a way to encourage tanks to be more mindful of the other people in the party, i honestly don’t know how you’d do that but it’s just no fun as a dps or healer when the tank keeps running off to pull everything and then keeps dragging the groups away from the dps, ive seen tanks go as far as moving the packs out of the aoe the dps just put down because they’re so concerned with their own numbers lol

Sometimes there is no choice. Sanguine or things to dodge. If a tank just can’t sit still and is moving things out of your fire or whatever, then that’s on that specific player being bad.

Sometimes there’s a legit reason of course, but there are times where the tanks are literally working against the other people in the party just so they can stroke their own ego.

From a healer persepctive (I know im posting on my rogue) I love it.
I get to focus on the group more or do damage. It’s great when you dont have to babysit a paperweight.

Id say lower their dmg (and buff bears tankiness) and things would be pretty allright.

And there are times when the tanks are literally working against the other people in the dungeon who refuse to do mechanics and leave them to the tank and healer to do.

Did you ever consider that if you drop a big patch of fire right underneath a player… he’s probably going to move out of it?

Is it really hard to learn other classes abilities though? I mean if you actually play the game you would learn these things just by running with said different classes.

EDIT Not YOU as in YOU. I mean in general

Hey till Blizzard can figure out a specific color or give us the option in our interface to help differentiate the two for what is friendly or not in the AOE department this is going to happen, Always!!

I know you can switch specs for questing/open world but there are plays who would be hurt by this if they cant deal enough dmg in open world.

Tanks are in the best spot and I have no interest in blizz nerfing us. We aren’t as tough as we were in Legion but that was mostly due to the special pieces of legendary gear we had and select trinkets.

Tried a few SL dungeons and prot paly with 180ilvl pretty much healing myself with more HPS than healer and doing 2nd or first dmg on boss dmg… I was just shocked at my dmg than tankiness cause to be honest word of glory is busted if cycled right xD

I don’t know how many times I did this at the start of the expansion. NF Hunters in particular had it bad in Mists… I swear I moved mobs out of it every time for months just because it looked like it would be bad.

On Topic I hate kiting. It doesn’t feel good to me to run away from a fight. I tank to take hits to the face. And doing good aoe damage is a huge benefit. I love seeing big numbers as much as dps does.

I mean I will tank if it sucks but I don’t really enjoy it and find myself logging in less.

the tanks that tasted full twilight devastation corruption are probably spoiled to want more and more dps forever now

maybe corruptions were a mistake lol

its not so bad right now but you could see a tank oudps an outlaw rogue in a very big pull tho just because outlaw’s capped at 5.

*i know corruptions ruined arms warrior for me. no way im playing it ever again after tasting it with full haste% corruptions lol

I don’t like that design of tanks. I think they should do lowish to moderate DPS and not be able to heal so much, but take a lot less damage and have more CC.

I think the this would be one of the few ways to drive me away from playing a tank. I’d have to settle for drain tanking as a lock in low keys.

Tanks are fine, bears need a buff. If I get out dps’d by a Tank I look at his gear then my rotation on whatever alt I’m on. No reason to nerf tanks or their damage.

I agree with you 99% of the time… but for me at least it’s hard to differentiate between a fire mages ground effects and the ground fire inside the train cars in grimrail depot.

I prefer it the way it is, a lot of tanks don’t seem to realize they are self reliant though. I’ve been spamming low keys and have to heal the majority of them like they’re wearing cloth.

PSA for tanks: your cool downs aren’t saved for a special occasion. It’s ok to use them often.

Im just sayin tanks really shouldnt be doing the dmg that they are doing.

Questing is pretty irrelvant to the convo in tank dps, i played bear in bfa, didnt have basically any problems with dmg.

Tanks really shouldnt be doing this kind of dmg where during cds they just doo more then dps. Tankiness is fine for them (except bear).
