Back in DF Season 3, I could manage two or three alts and get them to the Myth level for the Great Vault rewards.
But with the current situation in TWW Season 1, I can barely reach the Myth level in the Great Vault. It’s almost impossible for me to keep up with alts now.
The Warband system was meant to make managing alts more convenient, but M+ has gone in the opposite direction.
They’ve designed so many different classes and specializations, but players can’t even play them because the gear grind is so excessive.
Can’t Blizzard make it a bit easier? Do they really have to push players to such extremes just to experience the endgame content?
why do your alts need myth level gear lol? if youre gearing it up because your raid/m+ team needs the char, then they should be helping carry your alts in a 10. if its just for ego purposes, then I don’t see any reason blizz should let alts have free myth track pieces. they already lowered the gilded crest requirement so your alt can be 626 which is more than enough to easily 2 chest 10s.
Are you just sad it’s not as fast as you want? Feel free to buy some tokens and purchase an in-game carry in that case. You can either put the time in or the money. You’re complaining that you have to do one or the other. Do you want blizz to give you full 639?
Jesus christ man, you really dropped the charade and revealed yourself for the elitist you are. God forbid people want to play more than one char and feel powerful. Do you understand what alt-friendly means? Its not noobs asking for free gear, its people knowing and understanding difficult content and cant be bothered to spend just as much time to ‘maintain’ alts which was EASIER in previous expacs despite this one being pushed as one of the most alt friendly expac due to warbands.
You really have a bone to pick with people, you should get off the forums a bit its kind of getting wild
I keep a disc priest for an alt. 605 ilv. Cleared 7-8+ on most dungeons, very few actual heroic drops at EOD. I’ve played it very casually for sure but between flightstones and crests the actual number of mythic+ I would have to run on the priest to get it to catch up with dk is kind of astronomical. It’s not un doable but would require me not playing my dk as much as I like to. IDK how they’d implement or improve it but I do feel like having a competitive" alt requires too much time at the moment if you plan on still investing time into a main.
Curious is there a catch up mechanic for Spark of Omens for alts? Like if I leveled one to 80 now do I have to wait for sparks / catalysts from 0 at the same rate?
it is very easy to get 626 on alts now. are you really complaining that your alts can’t get free 639? you guys understand how wildly entitled you are right?
“my alt that has logged 10% of the hours my main has deserves equal gear!!!”
don’t call me elitist, call yourself entitled and whiny. I don’t have a single alt above 610 and while it’d be nice I also recognize I haven’t played them/grinded them hard enough to match my main’s gear.
there is catch up for sparks. you’ll get them from raid bosses/dungeons/activities until you hit the current cap. the most recent one always has to be gotten from the weekly worldsoul event
same with catalyst - the catalyst charges are stacked for any alts you start
this patch is perfectly alt friendly. alt friendly doesn’t mean gearing out your legion of alts in 639 just for logging in like OP wants though
Spark catch-up is in effect. I think you still do the initial quest to turn in half to the quest giver to make a full spark, but from there they have a chance to drop from raid bosses, end of dungeon chests and weekly quests caches until you’re caught up.
because OPs alt doesn’t exist in its own instance of wow. however OP gets gear affects the entire zeitgeist of how gearing works in WoW. Sorry but that was a supremely stupid response
that blizzard altered the m+ reward structure given they introduced delves for easy hero track gear so m+ was supposed to be more challenging. which makes perfect sense as delves are extremely easy so theyve made the bridge up to hero track easier than ever and the bridge to mythic track harder than ever. which is great and makes perfect sense.
bad players are just upset tip-top gear is reserved for players who perform well.
this part. How does bad players getting some of the better gear over time to help them be less bad and overcome challenging content… affecting you in anyway?
Why do players who already clear hard content with less gear need more gear?
Shouldn’t the players who need gear to fill in their gaps in skill be able to acquire said gear to eventually feel a sense of progress and accomplishment by clearing the content they couldnt if they stayed at a lower ilvl?
Please stop making this argument. Blizzard has decided since the dawn of WoW that highest tier gear is reserved for people who do the hardest content. Ever since the dawn of WoW when you can only get Sulfuras by killing Ragnaros. The linear progression path that forms the RPG of the MMORPG is dictated by the gradual progression of gear. The introduction of mythic plus accelerated that because unlike raids they are infinitely farmable. Blizzard has tried various methods of encouraging participation in the game mode without making it a thing where if you show up you win. Almost everyone has agreed m+ has been an enormously positive addition to WoW. That is the fact of the matter.
If you ask me one more time how another character gearing in the same instance of WoW subject to the same restrictions as I am impacts me, I will just no longer respond to your comments. It is a bad faith argument and the only reason you keep bringing it up is youre unable to respond to my specific counterpoints.
What you’re doing is the equivalent of showing up to a 100m race and asking everyone why it’s 100m. 50m would be way easier and it wouldn’t impact anyone who wants to run 100m. It’s stupid and the lowest form of ‘gotcha’ argument. It’s 2024, we’ve all moved past that being a viable form of discourse
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse comparision on the forums, and that’s saying a lot.
We disagree on mmorpg power progression and reward structure, that’s all there is to it. I argue in favor of more folks being able to feel empowered and move forward in a game they play for fun, you argue for folks to feel special having something over other players in a game everyone plays for fun, we disagree.
Again, this is a conclusion. You have to specify how you arrived at that conclusion.
Blizzard told you before the season that gilded crests were going to be at +9 or above. Just like a race organizer told you before a race it was going to be 100m. You arrived at the season/race and complained that was too far and it needed to be lowered. It’s lit a perfect comparison. Again you’re mad that your terrible arguments are immediately rebutted so you just make vague statements like ‘thats a bad comparison’ without any additional detail and hope i move on.
Blizzard allows you to go from m0 for champion track gear, to delves for heroic track gear, to +8s to upgrade that hero track gear to 626. Which is a higher ilvl than Liquid had when beating the last boss of Mythic. You are mad that you aren’t handed mythic track gear higher than the best guild in the game. That’s the fact. There have been tens of thousands of timed 10+ keys. It is doable. You not being able to do it does not mean its not doable, it just means you are unable to meet the standard required. Just like someone who can’t complete a +8 delve doesn’t get their heroic track gear. If that was you I’m sure you’d be complaining that delves are too hard
You can try and dismiss my arguments again by saying something completely inane and vague so you dont’ actually have to be specific on anything. We get it, that’s all that’s in your head
