No. Doing content rewards less gold than it costs to pay for consumables, repairs, enchants, etc. It’s nowhere near enough

Here lately Ive been so busy working I ran out if gold off repairs.
I dug through the bank and sold random stuff and was up to 20k approx again

If I’m not actively farming, I’ll still see an increase over time. However, my normal play would see me looting everything, I still grab ore and herbs if they’re nearby, I’ll catch a fishing pool if I happen to see it. I’ll sell green boe’s on the AH vs vendoring them.
That still sees me make a few thousand a week at the minimum. Sometimes I may lose some gold if I mog a lot that week and don’t do much but I normally don’t have that problem.
But 1-2 hours of solid farming can see me make 30-40k which is definitely more than enough.
Edit: I made 2.3 million gold in the first 2 months selling herbs and ore. I knew prices would be high so I farmed quite a bit more than I normally would. The first 2 months of an expac tend to be where I make the majority of my gold.

raid BoEs arent as frequent as they used to be. i used to stay afloat with that alone but not anymore.

this game is designed to sell tokens, they’re not going to allow making gold by simply playing (raids/dungeons/delves, etc)

I feel that. Back in cata, I was gold capped. These days? Usually got about 15-20k

Personally I am making more than enough to play but I don’t do a lot of pve. Not sure what a daily 1000g repair bill would be doing to me. I have made enough to have like 50k pretty consistently. It goes up and down depending on what piece I’m crafting or if I do any farming or not. Gold is pretty easy to come by with gathering profession so I just do that and I farm a couple old raids for quick gold. Making 4-10k a day is actually extremely easy. That’s more than enough to enjoy the game.

No. It’s been scaled back and new profession system has made it harder for me to get decent gold. Unfortunate IMO since it’s been the one thing I enjoyed doing since I started WoW.

oh man. I made so much gold in cata
had two accounts and one set with prospecting on every button. I then AHK’ed the 2nd window (it wasn’t against TOS then) and prospected constantly as I raided.

Getting to the money has been pretty easy for me this expansion, but I am more engaged in non-instanced world content than I ever have been before. But only just so.
Caches from weeklies, the 800 gold dailies, profession material brick-a-brack from Delves that I auction off; the occasional dungeon run or two.
I’ve made about 250k in profit from all that, over the course of the expansion.
That’s my take home after expenses- repairs, consumables and the like.
I do not farm. Beyond selling those materials at whatever the default price is listed, I do not play the auction house. I do not craft.
I only go where I need to kill stuff; kill said stuff; sell the remains.
Rinse
Repeat

Check work orders in town, complete relevant orders. (1 minute)
Use concentration on gold positive crafts on all alts. (roughly 4k per day just for logging on and will be much higher once more alts complete)
List group for m+
Mine/herb depending on toon while filling group. (value here is rapidly falling due to declining demand and increasing supply).

Made enough gold to pay for wow through 2026 so far. Also bought mythic boes to pick up a bit of power and will probably grab the brutosaur with gold before the anniversary event ends. This expac is easy to make gold because everything moves on the market.

Never really paid attention.
My played toons all have 100k on them with rest in warband bank.
My non played alts are all sitting on at least 5k. Just in case I go back to them.

Started doing work orders that give rewards besides knowledge to get augment runes to sell. Also realized that the +skill finishing reagents also sell so that I could turn mats into faster selling items. Still get more ore than I use getting the gathering knowledge each week.
Overall, is a steady gain unless I do a lot of M+ in the week.
Average casual is pulling in 500K gold per month nowdays so definately.
