I’ll take more options built into the game because I like options and if it’s part of the game that’s less for me to manage with third party updates or applications.
However I’ve ran the bare minimum UI I can always get away with. I use some add ons but I think I’m very tame with them when I hear folks run 10 or more add ons. At max I run five and now I’m running just four.
(Because one new addon replaces another one but I’m testing if I’ll keep it)
Still gonna use them, so meh.
only ui things i use, is sexymaps (cause i like the glowy-runes around the minimap) and titanpanel, cause then i can see how much gold i got on me without openning my bags.
lol, there’s people on the PTR forum asking for TWELVE (12) action bars because 6 is not enough, while you’d like zero! 
Everybody wants something different, so some will be happy, so will be indifferent, and some will rage that they haven’t provided the old 9.2.7 UI as the default and modern is just an opt-in.
go to wago and look up afenars weak auras! i use his for every class. It’s a little below your character so u can see ur feet and it’s close to the middle of ur screen.

Nothing will change for me at all, I will still run the same Custom UI that I always do.
yes, I hate having to keep updating my add ons and it being all over my map. I used to use this Diablo esque add on, but it hasn’t been updated since WoD.
I really, really doubt that the new Blizzard UI will be as robust as ElvUI… If you’re just a install it and do nothing else with Elv type of player than yeah, I can see that… But there is a lot more to that UI than most people know.
Never understood comments like that… I click one button and they’re up to date and I currently use 58.
I never understand peoples obsession with updating things every 2 seconds, Addons aren’t security patches, You can just leave it alone if it’s working until it stops working.
I’ve got close to 100 addons in service now and I only bother to check for updates If I encounter an issue.
I already have my ui setup how I like it so its unlikely I will switch but the lovely dragon bois I am quite excited for~ 
i think i’ve changed my ui like once with elvui. made it perfect, kept it that way. never have any issues with updating or anything.
No they aren’t security patches but most addon authors don’t update addons just for fun there’s normally a reason for updates and it takes a few seconds to update. 
Let’s go through a list of my UI-related addons and whether I’ll be replacing them in Dragonflight, based on what I’ve seen so far:
Bartender4 - too soon to tell, will depend how the new default UI handles Druid shapeshifting, which I haven’t looked into, yet
IceHUD - no, this one stays
Plater - no, this one stays
Shadowed Unit Frames - no, this one stays
Weakauras - no, this one stays
So… we’ll see? Regarding Bartender. But there’s nothing in the new UI to replace the others.
I think I’ll be able to drop Bartender and Chinchilla at the very least, maybe a few others. The more I can drop the better. Most of the more minor inadequacies that exist in the default UI I can shore up with the personal UI addon I’ve written to implement those specific changes so I don’t have to load some chungus of an addon for a handful of features.
I haven’t used a UI addon since about 2006. Got sick of everything being broken after every patch, and we had a damn patch like every 2 months back then.
I don’t think I’ll change bartender either for the new UI, because it’s just so simple and i’ve used it forever.
Only dropping it if they fix up the UI to what I need it to have to do so.
Yes, even though I don’t use that many addons.
I have used bar and UI addons but I stopped because I cant stand the constant maintenance when they’re installed.
I do use BigWigs though. But its always messaging me that it’s not current, bleh. Is it ever not out of date?
The only addon I think that’s truly worthy is WeakAuras. It’s such a brilliant addon for customization in game play.
