Are you enjoying the deluge of 370+ gear?

This has been the case since Legion, You want new players to get 340+ while people are saying 400+ or no invite?

It’s fun when you have a little of it, its “ok” when you have a moderate amount, and it’s complete frustration when you can’t get the piece you need after 80+ attempts.

Or…

I just got the same 370 cloak twice when I already have it equipped. So no, I am not enjoying this RNGfest.

Are you sure about that? You should probably open up your dungeon journal and check out the loot tables of the dungeons and raid.

My helm and chest are from Uldir, my shoulders are from an emissary. All 3 aren’t honorbound.

I received my 3rd 7th Legionnaire’s Greaves in a row the past 3 weeks from the weekly kill 25 horde quests. All were the same ilvl as the first

I wish gear was why the game isn’t fun for me. That can be tweaked, right? Fixed in a patch a few months down the line? But the problems in this expac go bone-deep for me and I’m afraid there is no patch that can make the fun come back.

This toon did M+ from open to a few months ago, yet got a serious chuck of my gear from the new honorbound PvE easy content… that’s how bad the M+ gearing system is, I had to wait for the full season to end and for catch up mechanics to help me. And yes, did M+ every week.

I nearly stopped opening my weekly cache since it was only about 10% effective in gearing me up. And weapons were a complete disaster and I had to AH it to be competitive and wait for catch up to get a decent one and THEN get a lucky 1% drop.

The problem with the system is that the catch up mechanics are needed because the actual gearing mechanics are nowhere near fast enough to work in a season, they would require a year and be really, really frustrating.

What I’ve learned is that after I get to about 75% geared, I should just stop playing. That last 25% is not fun, not even a little.

My Warrior keeps getting 375 weapons all the time (6 to date), but this DK keeps getting repeat gear all the time and no weapons :frowning:

RNG make me a sad bunny

This is what I don’t get, you aren’t meant to gear up fully from warfronts. That’s not what it’s for

Too little? What??

Mythic+ is literally infinite 370 gear or higher with forges.

If anything there needs to be a reduction in mythic+ gear to more match raids.

pretty sure he was talking about emissaries and warfronts incursions and it seems the azerite rewards lean more in favor of 7th legion/honorbound pieces maybe im just unlucky

Well the Arathi warfront has always rewarded honorbound/7th Legion, I know the darkshore one has its own set of gear but the traits on the azerite is probably the same. Pretty easy to tell when an azerite cache from an emissary is going to reward honorbound or not though.

From the incursions I have completed, I’ve also only gotten honorbound from them, so safe to say honorbound pieces is the only reward from those.

That last 25% is actually the most fun because it isn’t easy and you have to work for it. And it sets you apart from the people not putting in that extra effort

My highest toon is @ 350 I hate it. I out gear almost all the content I run from 1 1/2 zones, a few heroics and lfr + a couple profession pieces. Maybe 10-12 hrs of play and unless I want to repeat the same content in increasing difficulty there is nothing new to explore that also provides rewards worth pursuing.

I think the itemization is poorly balanced, and scales pretty bad at this point in the Xpac. It’s all about pushing people to higher and higher levels of what they have already done and that is less engaging to me than if I had to grind out gear in the open world to at least open normal raids (never mind lfr)…

I’d much rather have to earn my way to hero status than stumble into it cause the game wants me to be at end game before I even finish the basic new content.

I don’t see an issue. As I’d be in the group that doesn’t do this anyway. this to me is blizzard keeping the non-raiders/dungeon masters interested.

385 only in the current stuff does not motivate some of us to do this. I won’t lie…I like my dungeons solo, overgeared and over leveled. If something goes bad in a legion dungeon it means I have done something horribly wrong. No one to blame but me…and no one can blame me either.

Way it will be for BFA dungeon work. 9.0’s max level, better gear, BFA dungeons solo for mogs and such.

So to keep us around, yeah the open world stuff needs to show some love. As even with alt-aholics we can say we are done with no progression. My VE dinged 106. 14 levels to 120, gear up in WQ/WF to a moderate level (only my mains do I gear chase with any real motivation).

After that a night borne needs leveling. way I play…roughly 3 months (4 tops maybe) of planned play time. then sub could drop and I’d be back next year for pre 9.0.

As better gear comes out in spurts even for open world…game has a better chance to keep me and those like me subbing to regear.

It’s going to get even better. Starting Tuesday, dungon rewards are getting increased by 30 item levels. So M0 will drop 370s.

For a time it was nice but now I do not feel anymore powerful than I did at ilvl 340. That random bear in the road is still just as difficult to kill. This goes for all 5 of my 120 toons.

I love it… you shouldnt be locked into having to run dungeons to get decent gear… other options is what the game needed.

Nj blizz…

Scaling sucks though…

The thing is though

I question why we need to simultaneously bump ilvl and difficulty at the same time, it’s almost like they could have left it alone, but they cant because so much other content got rewards buffed.
