Are you dps?! sick of solo queue times?! how about you dont los your healer!

Want to know why healing solo shuffle is the absolute worst? And why so few people wanna heal it? Because a lot of dps are just lacking any braincells.

They run out into the open, hide behind pillars that face away from their own healer, pillars that’re halfway across the map from their healer, push, push, push. Requiring their healer to chase them down when they get low and eat several CC in order to save them.

This ultimately means that you’re screwing your healer over, because you’re not only making yourself lose but you’re making them lose. Some healers will have less issue with chasing people down than others (druid for example can’t be polymorphed while chasing you down) but still. It’s bad practice.

DPS are part of the problem as of why healers are so few in solo shuffle. So look at yourself before you look at Blizzard and play with care.

This is very true! However, I think the second sentence is even more important.

The reality of the game is that just as many healers, if not more given the mmr flexing, throw games for dps by not trading/positioning possibly or recognizing when to play to win vs playing to not lose.

After a game ends, instead of blaming “oh, bad healer or stupid dps”, look at what YOU could have done better because I promise that will help you climb infinitely more than any forum post about balance or mmr inflation.

Or just que regular 3v3.

It follows me around the pillar or it gets the “heal?” again.

were you healing my lobby??

Hear hear! Oh, and as soon as you ask anything of the DPS, like, “please try not to line me around pillars”, or “try to line of sight the elemental shaman instead of letting him free cast on you”

They give you snark like,

“Shut up nerd” or similar. So fun to heal!

You do make a great point but at the same time at lower mmr and cr we kinda need to be understanding that DPS and Healers are still learning.

So take it easier at that rating level.

Also, we as healers many times position ourselves really bad, so we get attacked often it’s not just dps, say you have 2 melees in your team of course they are going go around pillars and you need to follow but it’s our positioning that messes us up.

With that in mind there are bad dps who line healers and cause unneeded stress but at the same token all we can control is our own actions

You should try being a tank…zero positive comments from ANYONE

As it should be. Order must be maintained.

I conceded very early on when solo shuffle was first introduced, that as a healer I simply mute chat and treat the mode like a single player game that throws variables at me to manage, accepting that some variables are unmanageable, like a terrible tetrimino piece that absolutely won’t fit anywhere without ruining your screen.

The less I fumble said variables while mitigating the damage from the unmanageable ones, the better.

I commend you for appearing spontaneously and trying to instill some grounded logic on folk. I’m so sorry it falls on blind eyes more often than not lol.

One day…Tanks will rise up and put all dps in their rightful place, the graveyard :dracthyr_nod:

Many healers are just as bad. If you are good youll climb out of the baddies.

That being said, people die without using, line their healer, and all the other annoying crap at 2400+ too. Just not as much.

Basically its just something you have to deal with as a healer and not tilt. You cant control other peoples gameplay. You can only improve your own.

LOL. I take time off every now and again for IRL but I try to help out the community because I got a lot of help here when I was new!

I have had a few people message/mail me in game asking for questions and that’s been really helpful for a lot of people, which I’m glad for!

Lol I get it :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve had my fair share of in game reach outs as well but it’s still just a funny observation to me.

Yeah, unironically the best advice everyone here can get is to watch their losses and try to understand why they lost, but I think the most common response instead is to blame class balance

Well, you’re a psychologist so I’m sure you know :stuck_out_tongue: It’s WAY easier to cope and justify failure by means outside of your control than admit fault and put effort into improvement.

I’d say that’s very similar to people who claim they can’t lose weight because of x y z.

True, but the first part of establishing a growth-mindset and improving is recognizing that you have room to grow. And that starts with admitting mistakes!

It’s really silly that the forums exist as a legitimately helpful resource that people just don’t use.

Oh I understand why people should have that mindset. I’m simply pointing out that they don’t  haha.

I couldn’t agree with you more that I wish the forums were vastly different. It’s such a great potential source of collective enthusiast minds to discuss strategies/comps or learn the intricacies of specs and instead people go to discords and such for that information while they use the forums to just bash others and flex superficial superiority/seek out drama. It’s a shame because this is far more consolidated and would serve as a great resource for so many if it wasn’t such a cesspool.

You know how in school there’s always someone who has a question but won’t raise their hand and is SUPER happy when someone else actually asks? I bet this place does or at least did have an astronomical amount of those silent viewers.
