What is your solution to stop this from happening?
If you are getting gatekept by parsers why does it matter? They seek like minded people and so should you to have full enjoyment playing this game.
It’s a hobby that is gatekept by the company because it can only be done one time every 3 days and every side of people want to make it count and have their fun doing so.

I firmly believe that good players are not as toxic as people make it out to be. They are just jokingly mocking on the forums just as shamans are to those that complain.
I never had a problem of being gatekept. I do not gatekeep either but I run with guilds and like minded people.
I am not stancing wether or not I have good or bad parses because the game can be completed by each of them in a healthy manner, but for some, completing the dungeon is not enough. They want their killtime, big numbers and time valued with the same kind.
This is not a bait post. More so, this is to make people realize that gatekeeping will always exist, be it logs, damage meters, wrong class/spec, gearscore, wrong gear, contested loot and what not.
I am just curious to hear what both sides have to say without going at eachother, thanks.
As a professional gatekeeper my 15$ a month allows me to pick and choose who I play with, if I dont want you in my group nothing you say/do/rationalize will force me to play with you.
If I think your transmog is trash, dont have to play with you
Name has funny accents in it? Dont have to play with you
Your spec isnt viable? Dont have to play with you
Im looking for a healer and your a warlock? Dont have to play with you
I gatekeep because the difference between pugging an OT that has grey parses and 50 avg parses is whether you wipe 5 times on menagerie and spend 2 1/2 hrs in raid… or 1 shot every boss and finish the raid in 40 mins.
Telling someone their parses arent good enough to join a group you are forming is not harassment, and to clarify if you whisper me with a 6 avg parse. Im not sitting here bullying the person. I literally say sorry not what im looking for and move on.
I recently ran a BFD pug with players ranging from 25-38. We wiped on Kelthis three times before we had to bring in guildies to salvage it. I checked logs and multiple players were doing 20-30 dps…that is flat players leeching off others effort. It is a very humbling experience when it happens to your raid
I am not a huge fan of gatekeeping but there should be some level of barrier to entry to get rid of the players not trying. Green parses are fine but you cant give me 20 DPS. Your just not hitting your buttons at that point
Do you think enforcing raid lockouts to players specifically would solve the issue? Like if you could bring people that have already cleared this id but can enter others, just not receive loot? And the replaced people can still join other groups.
Question, do people like you enjoy always being wrong? I mean, you come out of nowhere, make idiotic statements/predictions, are proven wrong time after time, and yet you still keep at it. You have to derive some form of pleasure from it, I can’t fathom someone who willingly enjoys being wrong that often.
