with broken class balance,broken covenants, double legendaries and broken tier sets are you ready to see the crap show that will be worse then 8.3 bfa corruptions?..you will have full premades with double legendaries and broken tier sets farming you in bgs.
i personally will be unsubed when creation catalyst launches until pretatch 10.0 i want no part of the crap show thats about to come to normal random bgs.
Currently PVP feels pretty good in terms of gearing balance, weapon week coming up.
Class/Spec/Covenant issues don’t look like this way, which could change.
Participation/Population within PVP is not where it should be historically, what will bring players back is my question?
Weeks of gating behind created Tier sets might hold subscriptions, not sure if this will prop up the participation in the meantime.
the real question is stay with a maelstrom build or pump that fire with lavalash?
why would you come back to try and get on the pvp gear grind when everyone has tier sets,double legendaries and 239 conduits and you dont have any of that?
would that matter with the healing nerf and eveyone getting a big dps boost from tier sets?

What we see now is what we get, in terms of players imho.
Surely people will trickle in throughout the season, something(s) will truly have to change in order to attract the bigger numbers.
Game isn’t dead right now but big numbers will not be a thing until new expansion or new game altogether. The wow arena scene is slowly breaking away altogether and with that many avid pvpers will go somewhere else.
The ones advocating for the current system will be in here complaining how que times are so long. They won’t take any responsibility for having driven away so much of the playerbase.
I’m enjoying some PVP right now with my 259 gear. I’m having fun before the crap show begins. then, I’m unsubbing until new expansion cause, well, you know…F This
Agreed - now if they would give a path to upgrade rated gear without actually doing rated content (i know sounds as dumb as requiring rated players to acquire upgrades from farming honor and thus usually less geared players in random bgs) that might help. I mean, why give conquest points for anything except rated content - just gonna tease? w/e
Sorry, I’m usually the first person to speak out against gear gap, but right now you can get basically the same gear all of my toons are wearing Via standard honor gear (save for the 1 piece of vault gear I have) and people are still wearing minimal effort gear and complaining. lol
At a certain point it goes beyond bad systems, and starts just being whiney players who will never do anything to help themselves. They’ve narrowed the ilvl gap in rated gear where upgrading to 1400 (which is basically free rating that you can farm in an hour or two, maybe a few days if you’re just not that great at arena/RBG) doesn’t make you a power house, but it’s good enough where you don’t get flat ran over by Duelist-geared players, and you can even outplay them and win engagements in it.
Could the systems be better? Absolutely. But at this point if you’re still sitting undergeared, it’s pretty much voluntary.
Gearing at this exact moment is excellent. Honor Gear and base Conquest feels great.
Games are fun, the Gear Gap does not seem huge at all.
A good period to enjoy end game unrated PVP for sure.
Two hours of Rated works the same as it did in S2, it’s quick!

I think we all have been through this though, the majority of this player base does not have a desire to partake in rated settings.
The desire to earn a viable set from solely unrated PVP (much like the past) within random Battlegrounds to play in random Battlegrounds is what is being asked.
Watching the population/participation dwindle away is not an illusion, it is happening.

Right now pickings are slim on Alliance for rated play. Once they implement cross-faction, things should improve.
More concerned that if one “chooses” to only enjoy non-rated PVP, as it has been all expansion, won’t be “generally” competitive due to the already “beaten to death” gear gap issue.
The other stuff, well at least everyone “having fun lol” can get the extra legendries and tier sets 
i would say max level honor gear should be upgraded to tier sets.
Meh I wont be there. Im just here to level toons to 60 for next expansion. Im done with the PVP crapfest
i did that during 9.1.5 i got ww monk,ret panadin,frost dk,hutner,shaman all to 60 i got at least 5 ready for next expansion alerady.
It really feels good now. I hope your wrong. I lose a lot even though there is balance. But, I am perfectly fine with that. What I can’t stomach are the ridiculously 1 sided ROFLSTOMPS. Last season it was got rough. Especially for Alts, new players, & casual/solo players. I was close to just walking away last season. But, wanted to hang around for Solo Shuffle and to see if they are going to make an honest attempt to balance things for all players.
I’m already seeing some real power gap issues, as some players get more and more rated gear, tier sets, higher conduits, etc… compared to those that don’t. It’s only a few weeks into the new season and it’s already pretty broken.
Just imagine how bad it will be after a couple of months. Full top gear versus a fresh 60 alt will be a 1 shot. No matter how much feedback and testing they get from their PvP players they do little to nothing to address many of the problems we have had in SL. Just double down on dumb and it makes for unplayable bgs for the remainder of the season.
Not fair. Not fun. Not well designed.
