Are you a casual player

You are a casual player if….

You join a guild and then realize you have nothing to say to anybody

You have never been on discord (whatever that is)

You have no desire to play m+

You only do LFR

You are proud of yourself for doing a heroic dungeon and not dying

You have no idea what you’re doing in random epic battlegrounds

Sometimes you’re sub runs out and you don’t notice

Casual is a style of play, not a skill level.

The definition of casual looks pretty “hard core” to me.

I am currently working through Balance of Power and getting heroic/mythic0 Legion dungeons completed for the first time.

That’s not hard core cause you didn’t do that in legion

Didn’t say it was… reading comprehension could be your friend.

Eh, I’ll pug the low ones.

Depends on the raid. If it’s fun or has something I really, really want, I’ll do normal and heroic.

That’s not casual, that’s just bad.

Considering they’ve all been out for years and years, this isn’t casual, this is just ignorance.

All the time.

Apparently PvP’rs are partially casual

I have seen people calling themselves “casual” while saying they play 20 hours a week. From then on, nothing surprises me.

I actually started my own two person guild so my wife and I can share the bank.

I know what it is, been on it, long time ago. No reason or desire to get on it now.

Once or twice, if I’m in the mood to deal with that cat herding :poop: show.

Actually feel no emotion. Maybe the equivalent of getting the trash taken out or a quick course quiz knocked out.

Some I’m pretty proficient at, others not so much.

Pretty on top of that actually but that’s a household budget thing more than how I play.

What was the point to this again?? And why??

These apply to me - but, I’m not in a guild.

So I am the most causal of casuals.

I’m about the same. Though it’s mostly that I don’t want to deal with scheduling to play a game.

Nope. Hardcore for lifers

Did the same thing for my husband, our kids, and I and our alts. So I guess I am always talking to my “guildies”. Well, mostly the one guildie, as one kid has stopped playing WoW and the other is pretty much exclusively on Classic reliving the world he was too young to play when it was retail.

Hi, OP. You called for me?

I did the same when I came back to the game in November–still a few things left to do in Legion but having far more fun with this playstyle than the endless endgame grind

Yeah, that’s where I’m at. I want to sign on, derp around for about an hour, then scoot.

I think you’re pretty much a casual player if you’re not in contention for a server first/world first or making gladiator.

Almost everyone is a casual on wow. And that’s fine. Most don’t have the free time or inclination to aspire to what it takes to not be casual. Hell I’m a dirty casual nowadays for sure. It’s nice that once upon a time I wasn’t and I had that experience , but pretty much anyone with a career os going to be a wow casual.
