Are ya'll ever going to fix this? (Forum pages)

Your game as probably made over 100 million in revenue. Is this hinting at how you can’t balance the classes yet, or?

This doesn’t look professional.

I doubt its Blizzard’s to even fix.

Probably the server software, ran by another company.

I’m being more on the facetious side; everyone knows this game has made beyond a fortune!

The boundaries for the widget that holds the thread links is simple code modification. Where and what that code is, is determined by what they use to manage the forum and is likely ran by the company. There’d be no reason for that to be a third-party endeavour.

The mobile forums have been running like crap ever since the last update. All kinds of annoying little bugs as well.

Flashbacks of ‘You need a level 10 character to post…’

I agree. It’s not consistent.

these forums are like, outsourced to some 3rd party.

really missing the early 2000s days whe nthey literaly had their own site/forums developed in-house, look better and don’t remember any of these awful bugs…

They don’t write their own forum software. They pay a license to use Discorse, which allows for customizations, but it’s constrained by what that 3rd party software supports (including add-ins that Blizzard may opt not to use).

Micro-Blizz is a for-profit company so sure they COULD do it themselves and probably do it better, but not cheaper. Less profit = an eliminated option.

I find this concerning because of how simple the fix would be. It takes literal seconds.

This has absolutely nothing to do with add-ins, widgets or otherwise. It’s a boundary string.

Some of the responses here are misidentifying what I’m talking about; I do understand that they end up paying someone for the format and fit for what they want displayed on the forum. That’s the same as you paying for a forum page to host your content. They have direct access to maintain and manage their own structure as well as the outsourced company for its layout. If they didn’t I wouldn’t sign the contract, myself, let alone a multi-billion dollar corp.

i wish they fixed the pinned topics crap.
:cherries:

i wouldve never seen it without this.

i dont click “classes” i click the actual class im looking for lol

… how did you manage to equate Discourse forum webpage layout coding bug with Blizzard class development design? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

How do you know this? And how do you know what they can and cannot edit or what the web design team has time to do right now?

Your reply doesn’t make any sense, stick to instagram. It doesn’t need to be explained any further. You probably need juice? Lol. It’s because they’re all in jail right now and their peon lackey friends have no idea what they’re doing.

a lot of people here think every blizzard employee is a developer who’s responsible for the website, the servers, writing quest text, designing raid encounters, drawing art and composing music, etc.

If you’re insinuating that when contracting segmented development that you forgo your rights to analyze, write, edit or manage the product(s) you’ve contracted you’re not thinking nor capable of operating a business.

You’re all thinking that, because they’re paying someone else to manage it, that they suddenly own it and lock it behind a vault with their name on it. Are you daft?

i’m not insinuating that at all. i was responding to the question i quoted in my reply.

incidentally, i do own a business and we do contract out for this sort of thing

I agree. Your thread made no sense. Stick to Instagram. (Whatever that means.)

… this right here proves the nonsense part. Probably goes along with whatever that Instagram comment was too.
