Are World Quests fun?

Not are they easy to do, do they take a lot of effort, etc.

But when you’re sitting down to play this game and do World Quests, do you genuinely have fun doing them? Are they enjoyable for you? Do you have as much fun doing World Quests in WoW as you do playing another game and doing something else in it?

They’re something people spend a pretty significant portion of their time playing on, especially because there’s so many important features unlocked behind them like flying, new races, gear upgrades etc. But is the thing that the vast majority of people in this game spend most of their time doing really that enjoyable or fun to do?

They haven’t been enjoyable since the first patch of legion. Also adding stuff like the turtle wqs is just memes.

most of the time they’re fun. when they’re not fun and i still need to finish up for an emissary or something i look for the easiest WQ to do which is either a kill boss mob quest or something with just a step or two. i do a lot of the turtle quests even without the emissary being up because i find most of them fun. except calligraphy. /spit

Means to an end, thats about it…the funnest part is get 3 to 4 people to blast thru them together…so it ends faster

Yes…I enjoy them most of the time, (I have my days tho). I can do 99% of them by myself, which is good, as most of my friends list is pretty dead ATM. And, I hate the raids, not fond of dungeons at all…so WQ is a good alternative for someone like me.

Once you’re above 370 ilvl in all slots, you’ve unlocked all allied races, and you’re at minimum revered (for pathfinder) … the only reason to do them is the weekly emissary every few weeks for the chance to pull the welfare slot machine for a potential upgrade.

Aside from that, no. They’re pointless after a certain point.

Are they fun to do though?

They’re like daily quests but have more variety and better rewards. They’d be a whole lot better if they were also in Outland, Kalimdore, Eastern Kingdoms, and Draenor.

No, not at all. I stated that in my response, I should’ve been more specific in the direction of my “no,” I apologize.

All they are is repeats of the mandatory quests you have to do to complete the zone. It’s essentially repeating the same crap over and over.

Einstein’s definition of insanity.

Doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result.

Once you’ve completed everything, they have no purpose anymore and they’re tedious (aka not fun at all.)

World queats are only fun to do if its your first time doing them and they arent just a world quest version of a quest. I likes Tortolans wqs until i redid them over and over. The only one i always skip is that stupid Tirigarde one where u have to get 300 points with the stupid horse cause its bugged. Since they took out dungeon farming for reps world quests are what u gotta do.

Sorry about that, I guess my brain skipped over the “no” part for some reason and just tacked it onto it sounding like “no they’re pointless to do after a certain point”.

Not in the slightest. Most are ‘kill 1 thing’. Some are psuedo quests.

As much as they’re meme’d on, my favorite are the Turtle quests, just because they’re at least unique.

I do enjoy them actually. I really push myself to finish them fast to see how many I can get done in 1 hour. Usually around 6 or 7 if there are a lot close by. And I love Doing the warfront quests where you hope around and get some shiny gear at the end of it. That’s nice.

WQs are like all the meaningless stuff a bad cook throws into a dish to make their guest think there is more then there really is.

It may fill you up but still leave with some what of an empty feeling.

They’re just dailies to me.

I’m new to BFA. Everything is still new and shiny to me. While I can see the tedium that they can become, it it still better than doing the same set of daily quests in the same place, every day.

Well they certainly aren’t stressful. But I do find wq to be laid back/chill.

Some I enjoy, most I don’t. As daily tasks go, I prefer them to the old style of dailies by far.

I don’t know what I would “want” if I were wishing. I get the concept of having something to do and all. I wonder if I might enjoy the daily task being a random quest line in whatever zone. You know, like 3-5 quests involved. Using some of the existing ones that would fit maybe.

But really, I imagine any “daily” system would become played out quickly enough no matter what. Part of why I like the current way is I don’t do them most of the time anyways.

They were fun in Legion, when you could group finder them.

But of course, blizzard had to kill the group finder AND make them take longer.
