Are we setting up for playable Nerubian or am I crazy?

People thought the same thing for Night Fae and a few other races, so I think I’m probably just coping really hard because I want them but like…

We have an unresolved storyline involving Anub’arak’s crown and Seer Ixit. We have the story with the queen and her daughter. We have new bipedal nerubians and a reason they exist.

It really seems to me like we’re setting up to save their kingdom and ally with them. I guess this is just me being hopeful that Blizzard finally gives me a playable race I actually asked for, but it starts to seem less and less insane as the story progresses.

Since horde are getting Dwarves aka Earthen. I think its time Alliance gets Orcs as Allied race.

They’re monsterous but I wouldn’t call them “ugly”. They actually look like cool monsters. I’d gladly main one. In the case of Earthen and MechaGnome they’re just what we already have but uglier.

Ascended are Xal’atath’s bargain with the new queen to get the Nerubians to be her army. There’s no evidence so far of any ascended breaking ranks and working against the queen or Xal.

How do you turn that into a playable race?

Yes there is. There is one in the Weavers lair. Speaker so and so.

My thinking went: the character trailer (with an earthen, arathi, haradir(sp?j and nerubian) almost looked like an allied races trailer … so one per tier? … but we aren’t going to have four tiers of the expansion is going to be shorter … so the whole idea just sort of unravels in front of me,

If they’re made playable they better go with the full on spiders and not the weird bipedal abominations.

There’s ascended that aren’t working for Xal’atath and at least where I am in the story we’re currently working to free one from her control.

Also once Xal’atath is defeated, what do they all just die? they’ll likely be uncorrupted but still be morphed into bipedal spider people. Sounds like a new allied race…

Bold of you to assume we are not basing our assumptions on playable nerubians on the mess that was Dracthyr.

I am perfectly fine and happy with ascended with a Visage that turns us into caste nerubians.

My desire to play a scarab lord obstructer will not be impeded.

Sethrak, gnolls, quillboars, and centaurs after.

Prob not they stated they dont know what to do with multiple appendage races (kinda lazy i know) i forgot which interview it was but they did say no nuerbians. Harrnoir are the onlt current race we could see playable

We’ve had two expansions highlight Tuskarr as a major race and 10 expansions and 20 years later we still don’t have Tuskarr as a playable race.

So no… they’re not setting up Nerubians as a playable race (the xmog factor alone would prevent this for all time) so yes, you’re crazy, not happening in a million bajillion years.

They also don’t know what to do with too-few appendage races (Hello Naga).
