I mean, it’s still an extremely powerful artifact right? We didn’t exhaust it’s power or have to destroy it in any way. Are you to tell me that my characters will just pick up a “rare” necklace and decide to put it on instead?

Don’t get me wrong, I hate the HoA and it’s function. I hate Azerite gear, its traits, and essences especially. From a lore standpoint however, this is just bad. They should have simply had us destroy it for whatever dumb reason and disable all the borrowed power nonsense in the pre-patch.

Same way that legendary, game changing artifact whose power helped turn the tide of the war against the Legion gathers dust and takes up space. Apparently Azeroth has the strange property of turning objects useless whenever someone discovers a new area. It’s quite fascinating, really.

Artifact was spent to neutralize the power in Sargeras’ sword.

HoA was spent to destroy N’Zoth.

It also tastes great with chocolate. Not looking forward to blasting a rank 4 turd in the morning though.

We effectively destroyed the Legendary Artifact Weapons in order to disable the swords corruption.

Ah, the difficulties inherent in the swallowing of a magical rock embedded in a setting and chain.

Never mind. This too shall pass. Although possibly with some discomfort.

My heart of azeroth will sit in a display case in my now abandoned garrison, next to my artifact weapon, neglected followers and companions. There will be a plaque above them all that reads “The parade of bad ideas”…

I have the headcanon that my main just full on tossed it at Magni because she was tired of being booty called to heal the WOOOOONS.

That, or she licked it like a lolly and is now covered in azerite glitter.
