Lol…what are we doing here guys cmon

Some context would be nice, I am not familiar with any Dreadstalker Demonic Core interaction.

Went from 100% proc when dogs expired down to a 35% proc chance.

Ah.
Yeah that sounds like a pain. The one big change they made for MM Hunters was Precise Shots will always give you 2 charges, not 1 or 2.
So this is like the reverse of that, which sounds not just numerically but mechanically worse.

It feels worse. The core generation is so low. I was using IH instead of guillotine but I can’t justify it with the RNG core generation. So now I add 2 more buttons into the rotation while also doing demonic tyrant twice as much. I feel core and imp starved. Went from the most mobile warlock class to the least overnight.

Yup demo is one of the few specs that the devs said it needed to have lower procs of demon bolt core that feels special - i initially thought by that wording that it was going to do a lot more damage for it’s lower usage (until I realized they meant just a bad ability now that happens less often with even worse damage), due to being too “mobile”.

At the same time the developers turn around created the new arcane mage  /windwalker/fire mage and almost about every melee specs is even more mobile than before spamming off instant procs with a huge amount of incoming resources. Not to mention some of the abilities have baked in procs to other abilities just to lower gcds of their rotations. So what is really going on here.

The other thing I’m noticing some of the caster classes are being kept to this weird old casting mechanics of plant and casting while also taking 8 to 10 secs to properly set your damage meanwhile the games itself being design around movement and almost around the ability to put damage as fast as possible.

2024 where this game had some major overhaul to combat mechanics through raids / dungeons from over 10 yrs to 15 yrs yet some specs are still being force into a dynamic that the game has left behind years ago.

I don’t even mind it being low, I just want to be able to anticipate cores. I’m so f *** ing tired of this RNG bull ****

It’s 2024. No one likes RNG. It’s not even easier to tune. I don’t get why they revert back to it so often.

The strange part, the dev behind the changes to our core procs decide not to updated any of the abilities that function through our old core proc generation.

Sometimes it feels like these updates get handled by different people with different ideas on spec function every now and then.

Like if you design demo and knows it function and the rotational of the demons and core proc generation why would would design a talent for the summon felguard ability that only generates a core proc after it expires which also happens to be when all the other demons expire from the tyrant rotation, if they understood the core concept of their design this wouldn’t be created it this way.

This type of change smells like something someone thought of on a last minute of their work day put it in and forgot to check back in to this change to see it’s actual affect.

I noticed something was off and slow now - it definitely feels worse. I really liked machine gunning core procs. Doesn’t feel like there’s anything to compensate.

Then they tie doom into the procs which they already lowered overall, such backwards game design.

Yup that and the doom guard single target damage is lower than the doom guard single damage from the tier set bonus which whenever there was only 1 target it would deal higher single damage.

It went like this, lower chance to get cores which lower the chance to apply doom while also nerfing the doom guard since being by rng chance is even lower now since we get less core procs than before while changing doom guard to only do single target damage which also does lower single target damage than the tier doomguard.

Going to add that they also lowered the chance for doom to proc the doomguard as well.
