Are We Only Supposed To Get 6 Sets?

From what I see in the calender, the event only lasts for 4 weekly lockouts.

We get 60 Diabloons each week. Times 4, that’s 240. Divided by 40, that’s 6 Armor sets.

As far as I can tell, we have more than 6 Classes.

So, are we just supposed to wait until Diablo does something again to get the rest of the sets or something?

You’re supposed to go to undermine, endure the lagfest, and farm goblins every 15 minutes for four weeks to get the rest of the shards.

Otherwise, why would anyone ever go to undermine?

To stare at the hot street food vendor?

All Diablo did was turn a year older, so… probably. I’m sure you can pick six classes you don’t want tier sets for (cough demon hunters cough)

That’s only one Class, where am I gonna find 5 more Classes that are blergh?

Gonna have to farm them portal jockeys

Easy: rogues, rogues, rogues, and more rogues.

Oh, and hunters. I like hunters, I main hunters, but our T2 is garbage.

I’ve bought 4 sets so far.

Hit the portal in Stormwind at the top of the hour. Then go down to Undermine at 15 after and wait for the portals to start spawning. They’ll do so for about 15 minutes. Kill rares in Undermine and hope for more portals. Rinse, repeat.

You get a chance at 5 shards per chest after those first ten chests.

I would also note I’ve only done this for a few hours so far. It seems to be about a 20% droprate on the shards.

They should just reward the player for playing the game, regardless of length or how long they’ve played.

If I do the thing, give me the thing. Stop intentionally designing this game to take years to complete, or in this case require a player to literally spend every waking hour doing this event at the HOPE of getting the resource to get the way overpriced rewards put in.

All it breeds is contempt towards the event. Which is going to lead to more and more players not doing it. Why bother if all I’m going to get is some stupid empty chest with nothing. Will I continue, sadly yes because I know they won’t do any better even though they constantly preach “we’re trying to do better.” and then constantly still put these types of things in.

Heck, if the plan is to make the rewards increase over time… Thats cool. Just tell us the plan. It could have come off as “We are intentionally making the Hellstone shards drop low week 1, and they’ll ramp up over the coming weeks as the NPC’s gather more shards to place into the chests they provide you” Which is honestly a cool idea… Instead its going to come across as a “Ruh roh… We ephed up again… and we increased the rewards provided per chest.”

I just really hate that this event is causing me to have to stop what I’m doing every hour on the hour to do this just in hopes that I’ll get the resources needed to purchase the Recolors.

I honestly do not know why they intentionally made the dedicated amount low while intentionally making the required amount high. If I only am dedicated to get 50 a week, over a 4 week timeperiod, the rewards for the event should NOT surpass 200. But here we are. Where I somehow need to make up the difference and get an additional 320 thru pure RNG at 5 per chest. Meaning I need to somehow get an additional 64 chests to provide me with that 5. How many goblins am I going to need to kill over the course of this event to get that?

Maybe they should have just stuck to the dedicated spawns, instead of introducing the “farmable” concept of the “rare spawns” within Undermine. I’d much rather just have the static hourly spawns as compared to whatever the goal of this new version was.

If the past is anything to go by they will probably increase the shard drop rate at some point

I’ve only have three sets left to get and we’re only on day 2. You’re doing it wrong.

But it doesn’t take that long. I showed up around 1pm yesterday, did the Stormwind portal, went to Undermine for about 20 minutes, putzed around with transmog, hit the Stormwind portal again and logged off. Then came back around 9pm and did the same thing. And then did that once today from 11am to noon. .

I have four sets. :dracthyr_shrug:

And I have a feeling that if Blizzard isn’t seeing the numbers where people are getting enough currency, they’ll up it before the event is over to make sure.

We all got all of our Remix sets and we all got all of our anniversary sets. I think we’ll be okay.

I understand the frustration. Believe me. I wasn’t expecting the week lockout because the Wowhead article said it resets daily. So I was kinda pissed too. But I get where they’re coming from. Everyone would have every set already of we were allowed free reign. And then no one would be running this for the next three weeks.

Should that be our choice? Maybe. But I get the design viewpoint.

Don’t do that portal. It’s just one. You get a heck of a lot more being in Undermine at 15 after and running around for 15 minutes.

Especially when this event is running simultaneously with another event that’s all about farming.

Just boost the 10 guaranteed rewards per week from 6 each to a thematically appropriate Unlucky 13 per cache so we can buy all the tier sets by the end of the event as long as we do get our 10 goblins every week.

You’ll definitely be able to get them all by the end. I’ve gotten 165 shards so far and that’s just from 5 Stormwind kills and three 20 minute periods in Undermine.

It’s doable without no-lifing it.

If this event weren’t happening simultaneously with Collector’s Bounty I’d be less bothered by it.

But it is. I want to be prioritizing my legacy raid farms with my free time right now, not spending it grinding more Undermine.

Yeah, too many events at once.

I wanna play some Sonic but I’m chained in here :frowning:

Well, I’ve only been in Undermine for a total of one hour over the past 36 hours. So it’s not that long.

But I’m also not farming raids. I ran five yesterday, remembered how much I hate this crap and noped out. lol

I’ve gotten 96 Hellstone Shards so far just from casually hitting up the Stormwind portal on and off for two days at the top of the hour. The droprate reduces after you get your first ten chests of the week, but it doesn’t go away entirely, also make sure you’re putting six elixirs on the portal so it spawns three Treasure Goblins at a time.

do not tempt the masses with shortstacks.
