Are we going to fix trust level 2

No… I’m Level 2 on this character, and Summary says Member. I can go to my TL3 character and the summary will say Regular.

Maybe that’s what’s messed up… because it does sound backward.

Alternatively, you can read my entire post and understand trust level 3 is not a regular trust level.
TL 3 can be lost from activity.
Everyone starts at TL 2.

This started recently with being able to see your Trust level instead of going through the .json

I have trust level 2 and I can’t do it anymore.

If everyone starts at level 2, why is there a level 1?

Level 1 is for suspended users.
Those users, according to the mods, can’t post but they can do basic things such as liking posts and flagging.

According to

only TL3 can post images, videos or links. And that’s from November of 2018. TL2 is basically worthless.

Let me clarify some stuff here…

Trust Levels

Trust levels are a participation system on the forums. The more you post, like, reply, read, and visit the forums, the more you work your way to a higher trust level. Increased Trust levels grant additional privileges. Everyone who is new starts off at Trust Level 0 but will quickly climb by reading and visiting the forums within their first few days.

TRUST LEVEL 0

Trust level 0 users cannot:

  • Flag posts
  • Post more than 3 topics
  • Post more than 10 replies

TRUST LEVEL 1

Get to trust level 1 by…

  • Entering at least 5 topics
  • Reading at least 30 posts
  • Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

Users at trust level 1 can…

  • Post unlimited topics and replies
  • Edit wiki posts (more on Wiki Posts Below)
  • Flag posts
  • Create links and video embeds to trusted websites like Blizzard websites, YouTube, or Twitch

TRUST LEVEL 2

Get to trust level 2 by…

  • Visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
  • Casting at least 1 like
  • Receiving at least 1 like
  • Replying to at least 3 different topics
  • Entering at least 20 topics
  • Reading at least 100 posts
  • Spend a total of 60 minutes reading posts

Users at trust level 2 can…

  • Have an increased “like” count.

TRUST LEVEL 3

Get to trust level 3 by…

  • Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days
  • Must have replied to at least 10 different topics
  • Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics
  • Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)
  • Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
  • Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

Trust Level 3 users can

  • Create Wiki Posts (more on that below)
  • Post animated gifs, images, compatible video embeds, and links to any website

Someone who is a user…and not a moderator.
Trust level 2 has ALWAYS been able to post video from trusted websites and that was per theblues and mods.

Kalif found the info for me.
So…you are incorrect.

I mean you just posted one lol.

What? Where can you see that?

you all remember when search was broken on the forums and it was 2 months before they figured out it was broken and a year before it was fixed…

Go to your summary page. Click pfp icon and choose View Activity.

Just testing to see if they have fixed this yet

Nope. Still treating YouTube as an “image”.

No, it has always been TL2.

TL3 is for images and links to regular websites.

Nah, TL2 has always been able to post videos. Not from every site, mind you, but at least from youtube. I was dropping videos long before I had the ability to drop images.

It would be nice if Blizz let you regain your trust levels. I lost mine for embedding a picture that included a naughty word when talking to a white nationalist. You’d think with their current policy towards BLM they’d be more sympathetic.

You know, this post would better serve your purposes here:

Granted, there are already posts about this issue on that forum.
