Are Wands being phased out for a reason? (More Transmog options?)

Hello, so as the title states, wands appear to be getting phased out for some reason.

The last time you could use a viable wand (from raids, mythic + or pvp) was during Battle for Azeroth. Shadowlands offered some covenant related wand appearances, however these can’t actually be transmogged into unless you are currently wielding a wand. but since there isn’t any from raids, mythic + or even the pvp vendor… no one can.

I’m noticing in the item preview for Dragonflight that there are no wands actually from dungeons or raids again.

So my question is: Is there a reason for this, or is this simply an overlooked thing no one has noticed lol. I know that they aren’t the most popular weapon choice, but is there any way we can at least make it so 1 Handed weapons like maces or daggers can be transmogged into wands?

if blizzard would remove the auto attack from it it wouldn’t be such an unpopular weapon choice. there are actually a lot of cool wand mogs that go unused because nobody wants to use a wand

I want to, but I am a terrible player and can not be trusted with a wand.

there’s a lot of good ones. im just not willing to deal with the auto attack potentially wasting a GCD while fighting. if blizz removed that and let it just be a melee weapon it’d see a lot more use. and let us mog into wands if we’re using daggers or one handed swords

Wands suck.
Hopefully they go for good.

Yeah the auto-attack is why I don’t allow myself to use a wand. :stuck_out_tongue: I may have pulled a boss or 10… or…

Hunters have been doing this for over a decade & it’s not even always their fault!

Lol, I am a healer so usually if I right click to target it’s nbd as I am too far away to melee but put a wand in my hand and madness ensues.

least their auto attack doesn’t waste a GCD :stuck_out_tongue:
