I want to main my Zandalari Troll but the only places I see people RP are in Valley of Honor and Silvermoon. While Ally use all of SW, IF, Goldshire, Boralus, etc.
Are Valley of Honor and Silvermoon really the only main RP places?
It’s really disheartening and pushing me away from going Horde for RP… 
Sure way back when in the “Golden Era” of RP Horde players utilized every zone with healthy populations spread to a variety of cities.
But we’re in end of expansion in a game that’s had a massive population plummet due to not-quite up to par standards and scandals from the game makers themselves.
So yes, right now, if you’re looking for surging populations of Horde RP its in those two cities.
Though I don’t understand why you couldn’t RP your Zandalari in Orgrimmar. Of any city that seems like a given.

Every Sunday night you can find the Story Circle in Bloodhoof Village and on Monday nights there is always Mulgore Mondays. Other rp exists outside of Org, you just have to look.

RP hubs are extremely community driven. It’s one of those self feeding things. People go to Valley of Honor and Silvermoon because they know that’s where people go for RP. And other people see those people and figure that’s where they can go for RP too. It’s tough and scary to try to RP with strangers beyond the established locations. What if they don’t want someone bothering them outside RP hubs? Some people are more confident in themselves and can do that but RPers aren’t exactly well known for their boldness in social situations.
So it makes it kind of hard to get new hubs going elsewhere. It takes a lot of work and the general community at large needs to be confident they can find RP in such locations before it becomes self sustaining.
Generally, open world RP outside the established hubs is done privately among friends or guilds. Other than that, keep your ear to the ground for events. The forums have a lot of ads for them and I’m sure they’d love to see you there.
I once RP’d in Alterac Valley.
Definitely one of the better valleys out there.
