Max level is 80 - there hasn’t been a 5 level increase for quite some time on retail.
WoD was 10 levels, Legion was 10 levels, BfA was 10 levels to 120.
Then we got squished to 50.
Shadowlands was 10 levels.
Dragonflight was 10 levels.
TWW will be 10 levels.
There is an expectation for an ilvl squish due to overinflated stats in the next expansion - Im not sure if that means a level squish as well.

I wouldn’t expect another level squish until after the Last Titan. They plan on Hero Talents being evergreen, so we’ll likely see those 71-100.
Then everything is fair game for what they decide to do after the Worldsoul Saga.

Maybe its confusion due to classic cataclysm which was the first 5 level increase expansion and recently launched on classic.

They did not squish our stats though , is this happening when expansion launches or no??
You kinda didn’t have to insult him though. Could have been a classic player that plays more classic than retail since cataclysm classic went up 5 levels
