These people/person has been spamming this for maybe the last 2 months or so on a new level 60 trial character each day. I messaged once just to see how they operate and they say they facilitate the transaction in discord with a middleman.
This screams scam and what I’m trying to understand is how they aren’t being removed by Blizzard if this is the case. Bots ruining the economy are one thing but this is potentially worse imo
I report them and have seen several times others claiming to do the same. There’s no way they aren’t getting flagged. So the question is are they actually fine to do this?

Nothing happens if there aren’t enough reports to reach a threshold of investigating it. So report it, anything that directs to a third-party site or discord channel is spam.
How many months/years before Blizz does anything though?
They’ve been slow to act against spammers all 20 years so the safe bet is never. They’re addicted to banwaves which work for bots but not at all for spam.
The scammer organization functions by changing characters and changing Battlenet accounts. They have thousands of battlenet accounts they steal from their “customers” or buy with stolen financial info. The message is the same. They may even reuse the same name to make it look familiar. The goal is to make you think that it is “legit” or it would not still be up.
The fact they have to keep making new chars is showing you they ARE getting hit. Please do keep reporting. It is about all you can do.
If you know the website or anything else, feel free to send it to the email hacks@blizzard.com. They don’t reply, but that gets it to the team that fights this sort of thing.
You will also want to remove the imgur link. They don’t allow “call outs” on the forums, even if your intent is good. You can send that to the hacks team.

Even though their name is blurred out? I know you can’t call out but is it calling out without a visible target?

I did not click on the link and went by your text. As long as the name and any advertising is removed. They also don’t want us sharing the name or links for the bad guys here.
