I’m leveling and I’ve seen SO many warlocks, even more than mages. wtf is going on?
idk if it just seems like there are many more warlocks, but it does seem like that to me, too.
yeh, everyone said no one will play lock. Guess I can always go shaman.
There are also fewer classes overall compared to retail, so that may be making it seem like more.
Mages are popular DPS for instances, and pretty much everything else…
Tfw people rolled warlock to be the indie rebel underdog only to find themselves as basic and mainstream as mages.
According to my Census addon ive ran extensively, on Herod the least populated classes are druid, hunter, then warlock. Top 3 by a LARGE margin is warrior then mage then rogue.
There is a lot of Locks in the low level zones. Let’s see how many get to 60.
I mean it is one of the easier classes to level, so i’d say most.

I feel like I see a bunch of warlocks when I’m running around, but when it comes time to do group content I haven’t grouped with a warlock a single time. I think the pets just make them stand out more from the crowd.
Almost feels like it’s mostly warriors, which there can never be too many of.
It is a pretty good Vanilla “make it on your own” character, when everyone is still newbs.
I"m playing a BM Hunter, for a similar reason.
Before this character, my second “alt” in Vanilla (when my NE Hunter was bored) was a Gnome Warlock girl. It was fun to go out and solo with.
I think previous doesn’t see them in groups, since they don’t have to (be in groups, that is ?) My BM Hunter is trying to solo to 60 in Classic, like she did in Vanilla (recreated as closely as possible.) But she is not doing “naughty” stuff, she is straight soloing to 60 like she did 15 years ago.
I haven’t gathered any stats, but from what I’ve seen so far playing on windseeker horde side, they seem to be more or less equal. Also, the vast majority of both are undead, apparently no one likes the orc or troll. Admittedly it’s hard to pass up cannibalize+life tap, but berserk is very good for spamming bolts.
Every single person is an undead male mage trying to make a pvp video. Prove me wrong.
All the census screenshots ive seen show warlock as mid-average population. Im surprised by how many people are rolling warrior because most census seem to have it as most popular.
