Are there still FPS/Performance issues?

As the title says, Is there still performance issues, before DF I was able to get 144 fps as normal, now it’s all over the place.

Specs are 3070, I7-8700k, and 16gb RAM, I have disabled addons etc, change graphics options, updated gpu drivers and so on but still the performance issues continue?

Same here. Sadly there are many people like that. Game freezes, FPS drops, sometimes becomes unplayable.

That CPU is holding your GPU back in a big way in terms of performance. Sadly, the bottlenecking that happens with the 30 and 40 series NVidia GPU’s when paired with anything older than a full generation ago?, is having BN issues that effect performance directly.

You can try turning down your textures and particle effects down to see a bit of a perf bump as well. What resolution were you playing on?. 1080?, 1440?, 4k?.

Yes

I still constantly get huge FPS drops for 1-2 seconds where the game just bogs down

12600k + 3080 12gb at 4k

Playing at 1440p

Same here. Been having stuttering, game freezing for 2-5 secs issues since the DF pre-patch.
I read that if you turn off your in-game sound the stuttering improves, I’ve tried that and guess what, it worked. WTF…

Yep. Running a very overly capable build to play WoW and I too have noticed significant dip in FPS performance and stuttering. 3000 series GPU and 12th gen intel i9, and 128GB ram.

My fps stops dipping when I kill ingame sound OR if I reduce quality of it significantly.

The valdrakken city kills my fps.

There is a massive vram leak which I think is the cause of all these problems.

I haven’t found any evidence of memory leaks on any systems I’ve tested. Freshly logged on or letting it sit for hours, result in same stuttering and pop-ins.

The fact they still haven’t fixed this since since pre patch was pushed is abysmal and it’s quite clear the whole world of Warcraft and blizzard has changed was all a money grab

I’m glad to see that it’s not just an issue with me, although obviously frustrated that it’s happening to all of us. I am having constant stuttering issues. I’ve tried every suggestion that I can find on google and nothing is helping. Another weird issue I’ve been having is if I dare open a browser on my second monitor (ie to look at wohead) my game will have huge lag spikes. The performance issue is an absolute mess and I never had any issues in shadowlands.

Does anyone have any idea why this is?

I do have an idea, and it has to do with coding and WoW’s game engine changes for Dragonflight. Blizzard just like to shift the problem over on OS/Hardware manufacturers.

i just realized that the freeze-ups do happen after a while of playing, i just restarted and i can turn my head both ways in Valdrakken without freezing and stuttering.
