Are there anyone here somewhat skeptical or excited about dragonflight?

I know that dragonflight as of right now is being watched like a hawk in its alpha stages and beta stages and possibly PTR stages and I know that this game had many bad years or two bad expansions.

But is there anyone somewhat excited or looking forward towards dragonflight due to the fact that it doesn’t have expansion system and negative stuff like that. And are you people happy that the developers are being communicative and being proactive in terms of acting on feedback and being transparent on the direction of the expansion is going.

I know I’ll like it. The question is, will it be amazing, or just ok. That question is yet to be answered. They seem to be listening to players more, but I suspect it’s killing them to do so.

Dracthyr have really grown on me. I’m incredibly annoyed by some of the design choices (cough cough visage) but other than that they look really fun.

I’m mostly skeptical or excited about your next thread.

I’m feeling constipated myself

I’m cautiously optimistic.

Still skeptical.
It is Blizzard.
It might as well be EA.

Lucky for me, I can’t preorder or prepurchase Dragonflight without also purchasing Shadowlands first - and I have no intention of purchasing Shadowlands. I might buy Dragonflight… if it turns out that the expansion following that is actually good.

Dragonflight itself though, is probably going to be bad.

Blizzard has a lot of bad faith to work through before earning any of my hype.

I’m fairly optimistic about what I’ve seen.

Surprisingly, I got close to 0 hype for this one. But I usually enjoy at least the launch so will probably play.

Sceptical*

I want to see if some tree ideas I have will work. so it has that to look forward too.

Didn’t use a cast much when “free”…not seeing me put points in the tree. what if I put those points elsewhere? the questions to be answered in DF. it to me is better than several rows of talents that in many cases…1 of them is the no brainer all the time.

It will be more of the same. They always act like they listen and are transparent in the beginning.

SL has done irreparable damage to the game. The only thing they can accomplish at this point is NOT destroying the Aspects lore like they have every other character.

Honestly, I think being a dragon person that can soar through the skies as just being a huge gimmick. Dragon people will be over powered and unbalanced for the next 2-3 expansions (this is an unwritten rule by blizzard, must make super powerful).

Honestly though, I’m just excited to see the end of shadowlands and PRAYING that dragonflight is enough.

This and they’re making it hard not to prepurchase it :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not just one or two expansions that the Blizz devs have pulled shenanigans. They have been consistently engaged in a cycle of good/mediocre/bad for quite some time now. Some expansions become very evident that they are throw away expacs.

I’ve been in their betas for a pretty long time, and am now in alpha for this one. When you take the time out to test their game, give feedback, provide examples, correct their spelling/grammar, etc etc, and then they take that and toss it, only to put out garbage, you start to get burned out. Why bother doing all of that if they won’t listen?

The whole not listening thing they do? They have been doing that for a very, very long time. It boils down to them not giving a damn what their players think. Consider the flight issues - they are insisting on continuing this long, drawn out fight against flight by doing workarounds to it, and trying to put out appeasement tidbits, instead of just giving the players what is asked for. And why? Because they don’t want flight. To hell with what the players want, it’s all about metrics and time gating. (The time gating, upon time gating, upon time gating… good god, Blizzard, knock it off.)

People get tired of being yanked around, and then being given slop and told to like it.

It hasn’t just been a bad year or two, or a bad expansion here or there. The overall terrible attitude that they have shown their players over the years, the disregard they have shown, the smugness … it has taken its toll.

They have a lot to make up for. This fake give and take, “It’ll cost a raid tier”, time gating, not listening bs needs to stop on their part. Period.

Bro, are you a undercover dev or something? You keep making these posts, I’m kinda curious about it.

It’ll probably be more of the same, truthfully.

There are some good looking changes coming but just as many bad ones or generally poor design choices that may impact the enjoyment of the game.

Hopefully they fix some of those before launch but based off of their previous history, I sincerely doubt it.

Well…
Back to Azeroth adventures? That’s a plus for me.
Dragons? Yup.
Revamping some old zones? Oh yes.
If we don’t end up facing some reality bending Old God again, I’ll be a happy camper.

My care factor is at an all time low over the last few years, it started to decline when WoD happened and just keeps declining each year bit by bit, i do however continue playing on and off, mostly just to chat to friends and collect mounts and pets. The nature of the content Blizzard gives us now makes me less invested, what’s the point in getting wrapped up in a system or playstyle when i know they’re going to take it all away again when the expansion’s over.

I just spend my time working on the things i know they won’t (or can’t) take away.
