Are there any realms that are not cross realm at all?

I’ve been away from the game for six years, I don’t remember it being this crowded at all times. I’m finding questing to be kind of slow, specifically on world quests with the opposite faction feeling like the alliance is extremely outnumbered and it’s tough to get mob tags on things that aren’t cross faction quest mobs? Not sure what the correct term is now, since I’m noticing some mobs go grey after a Horde hit and some allow me to get credit.

Is there anyway to not play on a cross realm server, just play on a single realm server like it used to be?

Nope.

Everything is combined in some way. This is how they keep from collapsing servers and forcing people into name changes.

Aren’t the RP realms self contained? Could have swore I read that some place.

I thought they had SOME cross realm features. Actually I thought they cross-realmed with each other exclusively (to keep the RP part intact).

You’re just unlucky to get there after they’ve already been tagged. It happens.

Someone was mentioning that also, I have a character on Twisting Nether and I am seeing multiple other servers pop up in chat.

Main cities on rp arent cross realms. Open world you may see some other servers.

To your OP though, I’ve been advocating for a while that they need to do away with the full cross-realm they have now and do closed server groups.

5 or so servers that only interact with each other, grouped together in such a way that the populations and factions are roughly balanced.

They have connected servers. I started on Argent Dawn because of its low pop, but it doesn’t help a whole lot.

That would be a great option. I played from BC to MoP and maybe because of that, I just don’t care for the cross realm interactions. I’ve found myself mostly just playing late nights to early mornings when I can get things done quicker and not see 20 people doing the same quests.

Most of what you hear on this forum is there aren’t ENOUGH people around.

Honestly I don’t have much issue with having to wait for quests because the other side tagged it. It happens now and then, but not often enough that I pay it any mind.

Oh. :confused: I hate the cross realm stuff. Considered moving my guys to rp servers but the naming conventions precludes my army of potatoes.

Moon Guard isn’t “cross realm” because it’s so populated an active. Try Moon Guard!

They really aren’t that strict on names unless its controversial or lewd.

Also it’s part of a battlegroup, so it’s not ENTIRELY “separate from everything”.

Based on the chat, all of the realms are very, very cross.

The RP name rules are honestly kind of a relic at this point, you’d probably be fine

There was someone that made a post the other day, talking themselves up like they were the Alpha & Omega of some roleplaying realm and that they reported every name they didn’t view as a roleplaying name. :nauseated_face: :face_vomiting:
