I heard a rumor that Microsoft was going to come to your house and kick your dog if you don’t get the 6 months subscription.
If no dog is there, they will supply you with one

That is argentina, a country that has been living inflation at rates of like over 100% in the past 2 years and only recently got stable.
Prices adjustment there are expected.
Also, OP didn’t provide link and started a rumor.
I’d pay $25/mo. Reason being, Blizzard has stuck with their pricing model for years. They’ve never hiked up prices even though they could have. It’s always been a very affordable source of entertainment for me over the past 19 years.
We are now in a world where development companies are latching onto “Battle Pass” and micro-transaction revenue models and COULD be paying far more to play this game than we have been for 20 years.
That said, $25/mo is my limit. Anything beyond that would be a little bit unjustified unless they give us loads more content.
If you had bothered to read my entire statement, you’d have seen I said Microsoft is possibly forcing the increase and it’s a marketing tactic…, but it doesn’t matter because that article is old and is for nations already experiencing massive inflation; as Henceforth reminded me.
if they end up putting the price up then ill probably just resort to buying gold and buying tokens with it as it would be 10x cheaper, im from aus im already paying 22 dollars for the sub as it is atm
if they up it to 20usd that means im paying 30, 25usd im paying 37 so yea if it goes up ill most likely just stop playing or buy gold since the content they putting out aint gonna be worth that much.
only way they could increase the price without pissing off oce would be to add regional pricing and make it different depending where you acc is based
Tbh me either but that was the first thing googled lol
Maybe they’ll do what all of the streaming services have started. You can keep $15/month, but you have to watch ads a few times throughout your M+ run or raid.
mid raid fight if you watch an ad the next mechanic doesnt hit you
I don’t think it’s a reasonable jump at all, they shifted their business model from making most of their cash from subscriptions, to making bank on in-game store items/services. They don’t get to tell shareholders that they’re making a killing on microtransactions, then come to us and cry poor because they have kept the sub at the same level for so many years.
yes maybe but im not sure if rumor is true
