Are the forums toxic and unproductive? Should Blizzard end the forums?

I feel like the forums are a place where people try to upset other people rather than provide reasonable feedback. I believe Blizzard should end the forums.

There’s a lot of crap to shovel through, but there’s good feedback to be had here… somewhere…

I mean, there’s that, but if you think that’s all there is on the forums then you’re not really looking that hard.

Yes they should and instead focus on making the game better like adding more representation and inclusion. This forum is full of trolls, unfortunately

Productive means that something is produced…if a post produces a click, it is productive.

Yes, like you.

Yes I’ve noticed that as well. Very sad reality that hopefully will diminish over time. Bigots the lot of them.

Well the reverse of that is that people take up bait way too easily here. Just look at what’s happening above.

I do agree with you so I blame it for Blizzard who actually enjoy us fighting each other

That’s part of why forums exist. To allow people to vent. I know its annoying, but i just don’t take it seriously.

Theres still a decent amount of users here who will discuss things rationally, and a good bit of users also like being silly and laughing. You just have to step over the crazyness to get to it sometimes.

I would be the first to press the button and close the forums.

You would launch?

Nobody is forcing you to use it.

They did mention the forums as a source of feedback in the recent Preach interview(s). I was honestly surprised to hear that.

Many positive posts that praise some new thing or good feedback ideas don’t generate much traffic (comments/views) because, well, people agree and so there isn’t much to add; it doesn’t generate controversy. And for the things that do, much of it just seems like petty bickering. I engage in said bickering, for fun, but I’m weary about the idea of developers taking this place too seriously.

Where else would bored and antisocial people try and troll and trigger others?

I think they’ve done that plenty already. Stop looking for validation in a video game, especially a fantasy one.

to many repeats here it’s just the same topics for a month or 2 then something new then another repeat for a month or 2. it’s actually getting quit boring idk if people are just using alts to repeat i’m to lazy i never look no one up but it’s boring i have more fun on twitter.
