That’s the vibe I get.
The First Ones are likely a tier above the Titans, seeing as they created the cosmos and realities the Titans occupy.
They’re probably the “Titans” to the Titans themselves, like how the Titans have miniatures/fragments of themselves in the Watchers, and the Titanforged below them in rank, and then there’s us mortals.
We just don’t know much about the First Ones because they’re probably ancient to the power of ancient, and even the Titans don’t know anything of note.
Maybe they had infighting and died out, similar to the Titans themselves.

I am hoping they soft retcon the eternals into death panthon equivalent of titan keepers, and just sweep the first ones under the rug and never mention them again. Id be fine with them sweeping the tier above old gods under the rug too, and have titans and old gods being the top tier celestrials again.
I’ve sort of wondered about this. I’ve thought what if there was an expansion that reverts time and took you the player back to before warcraft started. meaning what if there was suppose to have been a pre vanilla/classic warcraft. if thta makes any sense. Sort of like how the star wars moves jumped around…

Yes, we will have to fight Amon, I mean a fallen First One, and Kerrigan, I mean Sylvanas will be turned into a First One to defeat the fallen one.

Spiritual is key here since the first ones are likely gods of spirit, the 7th power. Azeroth will probably be the last first one, but the titans have been trying to brainwash her into a titan for a long time.

We are the first ones since we engaged the gateway of the first ones out of the Maw.
We are avatars of the life/death cycle.
We were few, now we are many. But within us are the keys to the first ones.

Blizzard Entertainment. Seriously, we’ll cross the border between real and fantasy and fight Blizzard for the fate of Azeroth.
I really don’t think the First Ones will be the true game for many different reasons we have been given over the years that connect the few bits of information that we have.
We know that the Shadowlands was the creation of the First Ones (which look similar to titan structures) and my theory may also state that Azeroth may have been a First One construction as well (due to the heart of Azeroth’s strange connection that allowed to escape the Maw to another First One construction, aka Oribos) What I feel is that the First Ones are long gone but their knowledge has been left behind for the other cosmic forces to consume. (why the Titan structures we find on Azeroth are similar to the structures in Oribos).
Another reason I feel like the First Ones are no longer around is Xal says that Elune is an upstart Goddess. Why would someone say that about Elune unless they have the Knowledge of the First Ones. I’m not stating that Elune is the true end game but that is why she has the powers she has and called an Upstart Goddess (since we know from Shadowlands that other worlds know of her from other Night Warriors among the covenants).
I don’t think there will be a real True End Game in WoW type of threat. I just feel that the Knowledge left behind by the First Ones is the threat and anyone who uses it will seek it for their own goals.

You’d assume so but WOW is gonna go on forever so they’ll need to keep coming up with bigger more powerful things we don’t know about.
The first ones, that were created by something bigger than them.
