Only the Classic threads are shut down after a while. Retail threads can be posted on a decade after the last post.
Some retail forums have limits too. I suspect this was posted in one of them originally.
I wonder if anyone could dig up the first ever player post on the forums.
I hope they close Pull The Ripcord threads those don’t need to be necrod.
I bet someone will now.

I’m sure you could find it in a web archive but I doubt you could post on anything that happened before the forum redesign from 3 - 4 years ago (can’t remember).
You could probably find the topic with enough digging at the Internet Archive, but the individual posts are gone.

No you cannot. These are the 3rd version of the forums. You cannot even find the origan threads at all anymore. If you have anything from a toon that posted on these forums before 2009, then you can see the post it made, but it will be locked and will say the new forums are over here and link you to over here. Super old threads are gone now. Then they got rid of the threads again by another update. Very first ever forums had the Blizzard store with links to the stuff on it on these forums here. Just to the left of these forum threads they were.
A lot more blues posted then. Retail threads do not auto lock with time on these forum threads. You can pull up old threads where you have entire threads of level 120 toons posting, and the threads before that will even show posters with the quotes we used to have. The custom signatures that we used to have that we made and we account bound. So that stopped people from trolling the forums on alts because your alt would have the exact same signature every other toon on your entire account had. And our posting profiles were way different toon.
