Are retail WoW players scared?

I remember TBC fondly, but think I’ll stick to retail.
It won’t be the same for me. The friends I played with are gone, and the guild I was in for that time is also gone.

They’ve already quit retail that ship has sailed. But I do enjoy the defensive denials from them in this thread. Which are a certain sign of their deep seated fear.

Oh I just remembered those sky dailys

Did you have to do that crap for flying?

Or was that just for the nether drake?

Nope, pretty sure those are for the drakes, yeah, but also, I’m merely a wrath baby… and maybe that’s why classic wotlk is the only thing I’m hoping for.

Also the horror stories from my friends about those times make it sound really unappealing.

Tbc is the best thing to evet happen since beef jerky

For real there is reason why wow was super successful back then you know

Sure, pretend wotlk was not the actual peak of subs.

No they won’t.

Many many of use don’t want to go back and do the same crap again.

I enjoyed TBC and plan to actually play it again. However, to me, it was the beginning of when we had true rep grinding because there was so much rep to farm once you reached 70.

Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it but I’m not a teenager anymore so I doubt I’ll have that amount of free time anymore.

About as scared as I am of witless forum posters. Which is to say, not at all. TBC was good. However I did it once already. Find it funny as hell that they broke their word though. You can transfer a Classic toon to BC, but they still won’t allow Classic characters to move to Live Servers. Lol.

Because of that, it sounds like ‘they’ are more scared than anything else. I say that because literally that feature is the only reason I’d do Classic or BC again. If it could be of some value to me on the real and most current version of the game, like collecting stuff I missed because of RL? Yeah I’d do Classic.

Otherwise… nah.

This is true. And a disaster-fest it was!

There is no instant gratification in tbc so retail will always win

Hellfire Peninsula was bad enough in Retail. I very much don’t want to go back in Classic.

Scared? Nope, not one bit.

I did the Ogri’la rep farm when it wasn’t current and I loathed every second of it.

I can’t imagine what it would be to do it while “current”.

Yeah, no.
I didn’t enjoy it the first time around, why would I willingly do it again?
Clownsuit armor colors, lazy zone design. (seriously, most of the zones are flat )
Outside of Kara, the raids were ugly and uninspired. ( oh look MORE bland walls!)

Bleh, lucky for Blizz they told us about the Lich King coming, halfway into TBC or alot of people would have bailed.
But they stuck around for Arthas.

It didn’t for for Classic so no Classic TBC won’t do anything. In fact, it will never reach the pinnacle of wow.

I feel like Hakkar’s laugh in Zul’Gerub when you break once of his chains should be inserted here.

That sound. That is what it will be like.

I feel like I just went back in time to a Classic thread years ago… lol

If they allowed transfers from Classic to Live game, as they are to their new BC servers you’d see a LOT more interest in Classic and BC. It’d also solve Blizzard’s quandry about people cheesing mechanics in Naxx and getting Hand of A’dal easily.

But I suppose that’s too common sense a solution?

Literally the only things that could draw me back to Classic, or BC would be if I could work to get stuff I didn’t have time to get the first time around, and then enjoy them in the LIVE version of the game. Everything else I’m lukewarm in caring about to be honest. Been there done that.
