Like if i made a macro that when i press my MS which is about to come off cooldown, and hold it down, and the macro presses it 4 times til it comes off cd, is that bannable?> so i dont have to spam hit mortal?
Like totally
You can have macros that spam the key while you’re holding the key in. But I wouldn’t use any macros that don’t require you to be at the computer. Macros that toggle continuous playback, for example, are not allowed.
If you’re worried about not being able to cast your spells immediately after they’re available you can queue spells with /console SET SpellQueueWindow 50
that will give you a 50ms window before the spell is off cooldown to use it and queue it up.
Yeah thats what i want, a macro that spams the key while i’m holding it in. thats not against ToS?
No you should be fine. You can make the argument that it’s a good accessibility option for people with impaired motor skills. As long as you physically have your hands on the keys it shouldn’t be a problem.
I wouldn’t make any macros that press any more than the key your pressing though. You don’t want macros that press multiple keys. Just the one you have your finger on.
One keypress = one action is the rule.
This macro would mean one keypress = 4 actions, therefore it is against the ToS.
Now I dunno if you’d get caught, but my understanding is that it is in fact against the ToS.
see this has me scared lol
It’s legalese
Every time an ability is hit you are making a conscious choice to continue to hold that key down. That’s what Blizzard ultimately cares about. They don’t want your character doing things without you present. Or hitting one button and 10 abilities go off one after another. It’s easy to make macros that do that. Don’t!
1 click = 1 action is blizzards rule
