I preordered the physical collectors edition and would really like to get it so I can get the character boost and such. Anyone know or can a blue post if they have heard anything about physical copies being delayed.
I would assume so.
seems like they would have to. Though it’s not much good if it won’t accept the code.
So you want a copy of the physical game before it’s ready to be released?
…what
logic failure itt
No I want to know if they are delaying the physical release of the expansion. The physical edition does no more than everyone that has preordered it digitally. All it does is allow me to upgrade my account just like everyone elses. I still cant play the game until it releases like everyone else. Im only asking if the physical goods are also delayed.
Considering the physical copy of the game is much less about the “CD” than it is about the “installer” Which can be updated virtually.
The rest is things like a manual or other trinkets included in the box. They could send out all the box and included items as planned. Those shouldn’t need to be changed.
The physical version was already coming out 2 weeks before the expansion went live anyway.
Physical disks haven’t been used in along time lol
Not my post, dip poop
Mine does not currently show a ship date so I dunno.
I’d like to know this too. The last update about the collector’s edition was back was back in August when they announced they’d be available on October 13th.
I don’t see any updates on that page.
My order from BestBuy still says “Get it by October 13th.” fwiw.
At this point its a reasonable question. As phyicals buys as soon as you install…get patched anyway. YOU ar basically buying seeder code. Its there. And it saves like 10 gb DL pull down for the graphics files which probably aren’t changing. Internet gives the patched rest of the game.
Even switch games which can be hard cartridges…will come up with hey I need an update. Within days of the purchase on day 1 release no less.
I doubt it. The physical collector’s edition is just the epic version game code plus goodies like pins, a mouse pad, art book, etc. You’ve already been able to buy the epic version game code, and the release delay should not affect those physical goodies. No reason for that to be delayed because their software isn’t quite finished, unless they ask retailers to hold onto them until closer to the release just because. It’s not like they’re coming with the final version ready to install from CDs, since the game is patched very often. Anybody installing will need to download the latest version online.
i wouldn’t see why it would be delayed tbh. your getting almost everything the online pre order has excluding 4 covenant pins i believe, a book that just displays some art which i mean lets be real it’s just art work wth does it have to do with a delay a lot of content is already data mined anyways, sound track, and a mouse pad. ontop of the nice box if your a collector.
so really there is NO reason to delay the physical copies imo. problem however is with laws. idk if stores can actually sell physical products with TBD dates. most TBD pre orders are online that i’ve seen that is what could possibly make it delayed due to laws. outside of that no reason to.
I would assume so. I doubt physical copies would have been shipped yet, and even if they were shipped, retailers would have been notified of the new release date and likely wouldn’t ship out any copies until that new date.
Of course, there’s always a chance that one of them will break the street date and send them out early.
Wish someone from blizzard would reply to us on this as i would like to set up a DK with allied race just to get ready and for extra things to do well waiting for Shadowlands comes out. i do not see why they would delay it as you still can not play shadowlands until server becomes live anyway.
collectors edition is only a code there is no game disk in it at all its like the bfa one
It’d be great to hear from Blizzard when we are getting the standard retail release copy.
I have mine. Best Buy sent it out about three weeks ago. Sitting here on my desk. Unopened.
… Of course you do now. That post was made on October 5th.
