I play on high pop servers and always have warmode enabled.
Rarely ever will I ever run into the opposing faction while questing pre 110.
Most zones are empty of even players who share my faction, and those that are not are just questing.
Yet players act like when they turn on warmode they are surrounded on all sides by 10+ enemy players who kill them over and over and make it impossible for them to get anything done.
I have never had this happen. At All. There are some 110 players who you may run into from time to time, but alot of them are concentrated in daily questing areas that can be semi avoided.
Are people just really being dishonest about Warmode?

so you mean you are actually getting a free bonus - why would anyone want to lie about something that could be removed if they were honest.

they get ganked once and run to the forums to cry that they just want xp boost with out any of the difficulty that comes with said xp boost.

I don’t think this fact is relevant. You are merged with people from different realms to create a balance in your zone. If you don’t see any opposing faction, they are probably all somewhere else in the zone. They may be hanging out together to gang up on individuals.

While leveling my mage I saw 1 person of the enemy faction who also happened to he the same lvl as me in ungoro crater. I killed and camped his corspe for an hour or two cause I was so excited to finally see someone for world pvp.
Individual user experiences may vary. Time of day, location you are questing.

Warmode is a anything goes pvp, that’s why they wave the extra bonus carrot.
It’s the hotspots: redridge Inn, Ashenvale/Barrens wall, Anything Darkshire, and the infamous Thrallmar flight path.

I’ve encountered more Horde in MG Goldshire than what I have leveling in any expac with WM ON.
P.S. My Goldshire business is my Goldshire business.

There are various factors. What faction you play, what time you play, etc.
I don’t activate it much on my Horde characters because 10% to me, isn’t worth the time. Now, for 30% on my Alliance, it is and when I level a toon, I see opposing faction members all the time. Rarely does anyone ever bother me unless they’ve brought a friend or it’s after school and the 120s with 100k HP come around.
Most of the time I rarely see anyone else leveling in WM except in a few zones (usually ones where there are high level quests as well as lowbie ones).

Depends on the server and faction. I leveled my Zandalari in war mode and am currently leveling a LF as well.
Horde side I rarely ran into a problem. Got jumped twice while farming blacksmithing patterns in Nagrand by a dwarf of the same level and then once while afk at one of the hubs in Val’sarah by a 120.
Alliance side I got stomped and camped several times in Duskwood until I brought some of my 120s there. Same in EPL but to a much lesser degree.
Your experiences aren’t my experiences, though it is less of being surrounded constantly and more like one or two jerks camping me for a couple of hours until I log onto my main and wreck them.
I’ve had WM turned on since they introduced the feature and very rarely have I ever been ganked, let alone camped, on either faction despite leveling 27 characters to max level. On the off chance I do get camped, I chalk it up to PvP happening in PvP mode and go on about my day, whether it’s on that character or another. Carebears just like to whine because they sometimes get killed in PvP mode after they expected an entirely free ride.
Try going to Najatar. Or the invasion areas. You can definitely get corpse camped in those areas.
I only really find WM to be an issue at max level. And even then only in the assault zones.
On the other hand, the number of times I’ve accidentally hit a hordie with AS while doing emissaries is suspiciously high…
You obviously never go to Hellfire to level.
I would use the word “exaggerate.”
I’ve leveled in WM on both sides (WM is always on while leveling), and in my experiences, it’s rare to encounter other people. If I really want to find low lvl wPvP, I have to go out of my way to quest in a zone that is heavily centered around the other faction.
Unless you have a desire for pain and go quest in STV or HFP all the time to level, low lvl wPvP is a pretty rare occurrence (imo).
Sort of a confirmation bias thing.
You aren’t going to go onto the forums and talk about how empty it was in WPvP, but you are going to talk about the time you were ganked. Even if 99% it is the former, you are only gonna talk about the latter
