I don’t think PDs should be abolished or anything, in fact I’m more than happy with the laws Colorado just passed in terms of police accountability and I’d be satisfied if those were enacted nation wide, as long as they’re actually enforced.

Well that could be argued due to international business relationships is why they took that stance. But now what they have done now is brazenly support a political party in the USA.

Eh, companies are part of the world and are made up of people. Companies being ethical is a good thing whether it be minimising their pollution, not employing slave labour or just some simple comment or stance. It also doesn’t need to completely without gain, a company can say “society is shifting this way so let’s move with the times”. I mean would we really prefer them to be dinosaurs?
As long as the company is being fair, rational and not manipulative or actively force their views on you then there’s no harm in it. Obviously some companies are manipulative, they’ll encourage horrific sweatshops while pretending to care about people so we can feel free to roast away when that happens.
Plus we can choose to listen or not.

I respect your view. I just feel that I would prefer a company (any company, really) focus on its products and making its products great. Blizzard’s corporate stance on politics means little to me; Blizzard’s making of a fantastic expansion that I can spend hours enjoying, playing, and relaxing with means a lot.
But I do respect your view, and I can see how a company’s take on politics might matter to some people. It just does not mean much to me (and I hope that does not make me sound like a bad person).
Yeah that is a conflict of interest for sure within the business structure. But openly supporting a proxy of a major party in the USA? That is crossing the line even by Blizzard standards.
It’s exactly what it means. It’s just racist idiots like you who feel the need to take issue with it. Any white person with any sense of awareness doesn’t need this explained to them (props to Ion for knowing some of his audience needed the additional explanation).
