Title basically explains itself, but are Warcraft log parses compared against players from both factions, or is it faction specific? In other words, does a 99 parsing alliance Warrior parse in the 99th percentile against Horde warriors?
If so, how do alliance warriors compete without the windfury totem, or how much does that actually help? This is my first dps class, so I’ve never really thought about it a lot before.
Yes they are.
They compete by having kings, might and salvation.

you underestimate how powerful paladin buffs are, they’re pretty nuts
salvation is the single most overpowered buff a fury warrior can have, 30% reduced threat in bwl or any other raid for that matter with a good tank is basically a license to do anything. lol and they complain about us having warchief’s when we’re constantly threat capped because of it and windfury. not to mention blessing of might is a rank 4 battleshout added on top of your own maxed out battleshout, and blessing of kings is a stronger spirit of zandalar which stacks with it
alliance is op
Tanks are pulling way way more threat than salv reduces, if anything its a 10% or so dps increase for tank warriors since they can leave dstance 10-20 seconds into the fight without ever risking losing aggro.
Yeah, it’s pretty dumb that ally tanks get to go into bstance 10-20 seconds in compared to horde tanks going 15-25 seconds in while their entire raid has a much higher DPS potential instead of just 10% more or so for the MT.
Parses are super important.
