Pandaren are based on a somewhat shallow archetype.
Don’t get me wrong, they are fun. But there isn’t much past the surface.

Pandaren’s also did war crimes against each other, after they threw off the shackles as slaves against the mogu. They started to kill each other as well. There is no fully innocent race in warcraft.

Having to listen to their faux moralizing for an entire expansion definitely counts as a war crime. The end of the War Crimes book is also a war crime, but that was committed by the panda’s gods rather than the pandas themselves.

I’m not finding this in the lore. Where was this talked about? All I can find is when the two factions fought against each other as Alliance and Horde.

The Shado-pan spent centuries suppressing any kind of negativity that could feed the Sha.
That’s centuries of people disappearing if they voice an opinion more passionate than what beer tastes best.
The Pandaren are, in general, peaceful folk. That is not the same as being innocent.

Not really all of them. Very superficially:

Humans dealt with corruption within Stormwind and the mistreatment of its citizens, a hypocrisy when claiming to represent civilization in Azeroth.

Orcs deal with their aggressive impulses and bloodlust, while also maintaining honor and glory.

Undead struggle with what remains of their humanity in a world that’s rejected them.
Just as three examples. Archetypes sure, but I don’t think they’re as shallow as Pandas. I think the issue is that there’s little evil in Panda lore - they’re insufferably good. Which makes them less realistic.
