Seems on my druid due to HoTs, delves are incredibly fun due to the damage buff to Brann… how are other healers? Can’t imagine healing with a paladin would be easy since they’re so slow.
i do 11s with my resto shaman, not sure if that counts
My alt shaman handles it fine as long as i dont try and go to fast. Drop utility totems as needed, keep a riptide on brann, earth ele if he decides to bug out and pull everything. Its not super fast, but compared to switching to guardian neither is resto druid.
Monks was similar, go punchy build, kill mobs occasionally toss a vivify or if you want can run statue and just start the SooM channel before going back to punching, but i run dps brann as mw instead of tank.
It done on both priest healers, 11s usually one pack at a time or maybe two
I do 11s as pres, I dunno if that counts. I definitely have some hots.
I can do T11s as both Holy and Disc Priest just fine.
T8? I can’t imagine there are many specs that can’t steamroll those at this point. Healer or not.
Above T8 pretty much all healers have better options, going in either dps or tank specs.
yea, I’ve done all the T11’s as disc and I never played that spec before I did it. Check my achievements for the Algari healer III
Just spam heal tank Brann, his DPS and survivability are directly related to the amount of healing he gets.
I’ve seen him pull over 2million DPS.
I recommend going Holy if that’s what you prefer to do.
Disc is a DPS to heal spec, so the direct heals aren’t as good as Holy.
And they recently nerfed Penance.
idk anything about healing at all. I’m a total n00b to it.
I just made sure in vuhdo it showed I had those little bars for atonement, or whatever it’s called, and the 2nd bar for whatever the shield was putting on him, then I DPSd the mob he was targeting at the time.
but yea anyway If I had both little bars ticking on both of us and I just DPSd it seemed to be pretty easy actually Much less stressful than shadow for me.
btw Ultimate Penance is the coolest spell in game rn. Sure wish that sucker had a like a 20sec CD instead of the 45 days or whatever its on, too long, rn.
I do mass AOE pulls in t11s as a holy priest. On t8 I can pull a third of the delve and not worry. Brann gets hit by my holy nova plenty to buff his damage, along with other procs that heal him. I’ll use surge of light procs or holy words on him if needed. In mass pulls I’ll dump all of my holy words off the bat to buff my and his damage. If it’s a big enough pull, I’ll apotheosis/PI and sustain well over 1m DPS between halo and chastise/holy fire/holy nova.
Really don’t have to think about Brann much, if all is going south, lightwell saves the day along with guardian spirit.
Old Gods Ritual story in Skittering Breach is one of the most fun delves to mass pull as you heal Brann. The enemy density there is a lot.
I think of this as: “Oh sh*t! Brann pulled extra mobs and we’re gonna die!” protection
There’s a talent that reduces the CD of Ultimate Pentience whenever you cast Penance. But yeah, lol @ 4 min CD.
At this point, I’m pretty bored of delves outside of doing the 4 for gilded/vault. I’ll only run the spider delves, since they are the fastest.
I’m not sure why they kept my attention for so much longer in S1. Just looking forward to horrific visions, hoping they’ll keep me a little more content.
I’ve found that as a tank with DPS Brann is the most fun way to do delves. I can mass pull and not die and I won’t have to deal with Brann’s wonky AI.
Disc Priests are amazing on Delves
Are non-hot healers able to solo T8 delves now?
In general (Healer or not) it depends on your armor level and your skill. Without knowing those things it is difficult to say.
I’ve been doing them as both resto druid and as holy pally. Holy has changed a lot over the years, but since I play prot a lot, it’s not hard to adapt to in melee. Lots of fun.
I don’t play any tanks to know the difference, but I’ve had far more fun in healing spec than as a DPS spec. However, I don’t like roles outside of healing all that much, so I’ll likely never get the achievements for doing them as tank or DPS.
