Are night elves the most useless race in WoW?

Lady Liadrin said it best when she was gossiping with Thalyssra:

Lady Liadrin: “The Sin’dorei are also scorned by Tyrande and her prideful lot. Yet for many ages her people slept in dens and hid in trees while my people fought to save this world.”

Not only was that a burn hotter than Teldrassil, it’s also 100% true which is kinda sad.

It’s the only race that can be a Demon Hunter for the Alliance.

So, not totally useless.

Actually, the opposite is true. The night elves were pushing to cleanse their home and the world around them of the taint left over from the demons. The blood elves, meanwhile, sat in their pretty little lie of a city feeling smug and superior.

Then they got killed by an undead human. Kinda deserved it, considering the highborne are the entire reason the Sundering happened to begin with.

They’re fair from that. I can say they’re a C- B tier race if we to add traits to this competition.

They did give up their immortality at the battle vs archimonde. They even had their own campaign.

I’m all for another tree burning though. We forgot to bring the marshmallows last time at teldrassil. It wasn’t a very fun camping experience for me.

If it wasn’t for the night elves then all of Kalimdor would be crawling with insects and ruled over by C’thun right now. It was only 1,000 years ago that happened. Plus there was the War of the Satyr too. And if it wasn’t for Malfurion then we’d all have fallen to the Legion in the Third War.

It hasn’t been an entirely peaceful 10,000 years. They’ve been active and fighting their fair share.

To be fair though, I get what she meant by it. Tyrande (my love help me) has no right really to look down on any race at all.

Malfurion got Ysera killed. Never4get

If we didn’t sleep the world would have been overrun by the void monsters! Do you see any… oh, they’re all over the place.

Exactly! You nelves saved this world from demons countless times, and now our true lord Nzoth can rule

Just saying. Nelves brought the legion here in the first place.

I’m not saying they are the cause of all the world’s problems…but their kinda the cause of all the world’s problems.

Funny thing is, it was the Highborne who invited the Legion to overrun Azeroth.

Those Highborne’s descendants are Blood/High Elves and Nightborne

It was the Night Elves who ended up cleaning up the mess made by the Highborne.

Technically a half-truth and ignoring extenuating circumstances.

A: it was only the druids who slept, the priestess and the rest of the society spent 10,000 years in what is known as The Long Vigil, being a highly militarized society for 7,300 years guarding Kalimdor from evils and watching for the return of the Legion.

B: said sleeping druids would have woken up earlier, had they not been trapped by the likes of Staghelm and other retcons. Either Liadrin didn’t know that or was conveniently forgetting to mention it because it would take the wind out of her argument.

And… What did the blood elves do to save the world? They weren’t a thing in the War of the Ancients, as the highborne were allied with Azshara (and thus the Legion) until the last minute where they cowardly jumped ship when things turned against them and they started losing. The blood elves themselves walled off in their city and refused to help until thousands of years later when they had to be dragged kicking, screaming, and straight up bribed with humans fighting trolls for them to even train 100 humans to use magic.

And then they turned their back on the Alliance of Lordaeron at the first opportunity, only to cry that humans were racist when they didn’t instantly run to help the very people who voluntarily left the Alliance and told the humans to sit and spin.

So what leg does Liadrin have to stand on? The one where her ancestors sided with the Legion? The one where they knew arcane magic was a big “ATTACK HERE” sign for the Legion but practiced it anyway? The one where her people acted like whine brats until they got someone else to fight for them? The one where they walked away from that very someone else as soon as they could? The one where they sent a pittance to help when the Alliance asked and whined about it constantly? The one where they kidnapped a Naaru to siphon its life energy for power?

Why is it always a blood elf?

Got owned?

so we just gonna pretend the War of the Shifting Sand didn’t happen

and last I checked Liadrin’s people wanted to stay out of all that “world saving” nonsense, and left it to the humans until all the humans up north got turned into zombies. It was Alleria’s elves (in Outland, not the void-juiced ones) that actually wanted to save the world, and they’re certainly not on Liadrin’s team.

It’s almost like she was talking out of her backside to gain a potential ally’s favor and to smear the opposition.

You again?? Haven’t you made this thread before??

I think iam detecting a bit of jealousy… Not every elf can be as cool as the Kaldorei.

Mandatory Night elf appreciation post now :smirk:
