Gnomes are hated in general. You are either food or sports equipment thats your purpose.
Hmm. I also play on Moon Guard, and I have a Mechagnome hunter, and I have never had that happen to her.
Sorry to hear, but I’d like to think that’s an exception rather than a rule, at least in my experience.
This is true for basically all the allied races.

What bugged me was that the horde got Vulpera (which is basically an entirely new and cool thing), and we got a variation on an already lesser played race, which as others have pointed out, should have just been a customization option that was added to normal gnomes.

Yes, they are that hated. Just like regular gnomes. And Goblins. You chose this life.
I feel they’d be far more accepted if they found some titan device that truly ‘Reversed’ the curse of flesh – Even having the option to choose at what or how much of an extent to do so.
And as of such that way they could get titanforged customisations → They’d be far more enjoyed as the ‘Mechagnome’ race.
To be fair they have a much cooler zone thats basically all about them.

I would absolutely LOVE to hear that reason. You’re going up against the argument of Horde bias, AKA something REFUSES to die.
Did you ever go to an old school Blizzcon? Those things were one big horde loving orc-fest, you really can’t blame people for thinking their was bias back then, especially when nothing has really been done to dispel it. The fact that people deny it existed baffles me lol

Mechagnomes are fine; I’d rather have them then yet another variation of elf.
Problem is that there was wasted potential with them. Instead of getting cyborgs/robots we got these weird diaper-baby homunculi that looked like they should have been buried in Sid from Toy Story’s backyard.

tbh i heard if you dressed up as alliance there they’d harass you or somethin back then.
So we will be forgotten in the junk pile then. How fitting to bring us into the alliance only to toss us out.

It was an acknowledgement that Alliance-players don’t count in the eyes of the developers. They knew that the Gnomes weren’t popular to begin with and yet they went through with this.

Hear me out: we take the least popular race, but make it worse in every way possible, then to twist the knife - awesome racials.
I have a few Gnome characters, Machagnomes AND Goblins. Some Vulpera too!
I don’t care what people think, I get a kick out of them.
