Does anyone know if Mages are getting 2 new portal spells for Bel’Ameth and Gilneas? It would be really stupid if we don’t. I’m hoping that both cities become racial capitals and thus get portal spells. What does everyone think?

I doubt it. Amirdrassil and Bel’ameth might be the new seat of power for the Night Elves, but unfortunately I can’t look at it as a Capital city as it will be cross faction.

We should, but how long will it be until they go back to discouraging travel to other capitals so they can continue to focus only on Stormwind and Orgrimmar again?

I don’t count cross faction “Expansion” cities as capitals since no one goes to them after a couple of expansions.
Dalaran has more activity than most capitals.

In fact the only reason people still got to Legion Dalaran is because people use the hearthstone to get to SW, Orgrimmar or Valdrakken.

Well consider this, most people have a Dalaran hearthstone. That alone would make up for the fact that Dalaran has more activity than “most capitals”. Whos gonna go to a capital without a quick way back to the main capital or expansion capital? It’s an ease of access thing. But Im on Moonguard and our SW always has activity. I hardly see anyone in Dalaran. Most I’ve seen that wasn’t because of a RP event is like 15.

Only Dalaran Broken Isles has the most activity. Dalaran Northrend has very little activity.
Exactly. Look at even Oribos which was the last expansion. It’s empty. If Bel’ameth doesn’t get portals, it will be the same after the novelty wears off since it’s not even part of the old world but in the Dragon Isles. So just to get to Bel’amth you would have to go to SW or ORG and portal to Valdrakken, THEN fly out to Ohnaran Plains
Why? We can easily port other players if they ask. It makes travel much faster.

Northrend Dalaran is BiS, especially on Alliance
Innkeeper, auction house, mailbox, and portal to Faction Capital City are all literally right next to eachother.

Personally I love the NE esthetic and loved Darnassus. I’m just stating fact about how “expansion capitals” arent the same as faction capitals.

Blizzard said that Dragonflight will be the new leveling expansion replacing Battle for Azeroth. So those cities should see more activity.

Dalaran, shat, valdrakken, and oribos are all neutral capitals.
Yes, but not True capitals since they are abandoned after the relevant expansion is over.
