I see this guys everywhere. Are they bots?
careful, you aren’t allowed to call them bots just because they have chinese pet names
Some may be,soime may also be real players that are gasp playing with the chinese verison installed…and yet more are people that like to get a kick and a laugh and specifically use the chinese/oriental text to name their pets…
Not necessarily. Anyone can get a Chinese pet by switching to Chinese language in the launcher.
One of my alt locks has all Chinese pet names.
I’d say 99.9% of them are bots from my experience.
safest bet, report him and let blizzards ani-cheat program do it… I mean their GM’s to investigate. At least that $15 a month is being used wisely on a GM that way.
Majority of the time yes, especially if their pet is a boar. If it is something else there is a higher chance it isn’t a bot, but still likely is. But if it is a boar you can say with about 99.99% accuracy that it is a bot.
Chinese pet and no guild, and farming something like golden pearls = 99% chance its a bot.
not always. Anyone can name their pet that if you have the language installed and can type it in. Nothing against rules about naming your pet other languages as long as it abides by the Rules for naming.
Like others said, they may/may not be. But I report them. If they aren’t bots then they have nothing to worry about.
Depends. At this point you might have some trolls doing it on purpose. Just watch their movement. Wait before they engage a mob and tag it and see if they care. Its really easy to spot a bot vs a real player.
100% its a bot. overleveled hunter in a zone with a chinese character pet its a bot.
