Yes, I know your trash guild has 11 hunters. I’m talking about real guilds and not some husband and wife social guild.
But it seems like you only need maybe 2 hunters out of 40 people.

People run hunters in all phases. They get out dpsd but they bring utility unique to them. You’ll always have a spot.

Here’s how it works… a non-optimal class that we don’t like is trash.
But non-optimal classes we like are viable because Classic endgame is faceroll.

Husband and wife social guilds = fun, levity and still the opportunity to raid
‘Real’ guilds = Drama, Lord of the Flies-style leadership and rage quitting.
If I join a guild, I know what I’ll choose.

I’m not elitist. Most guilds are trash. Google doesn’t answer jack. I want to know from people and not random posts that Google decides to show me.

Yes, hunters do not scale well at all with gear, specially since in vanilla pets do not get any stats from the owner.
By AQ40 and Naxx you’re going to be at the bottom of the meter, but you will still be needed.

I would reroll mage, fire mage in AQ40 is very good.

Social guilds are usually full of people who stay at lvl 34 for 3 months and are always asking for dungeon runs by higher levels. Social guilds form cliques far worse than “elite” guilds. You won’t get a run unless the trash Druid GF thinks you’re cool.
Social guilds are also far more uptight that “elite” guilds. You’d swear half of the Alliance guilds are Christian guilds. Social guilds require you to constantly pretend to be happy than th 98679876897060th lvl 13 Hunter has joined the guild or someone found a BOE blue.

Nah, your warriors come before them, once warriors start getting gear they skyrocket.
I was needed in many fight s in Vanilla. In BWL I was running around on the first boss trailing several dragons behind me. Later on the doggy I was also useful for something but I can’T remember what (I use to raid with a glass of wine or two, and by the time we were deep in the instance I had a few…). In Naxx in the fight with the bug I was using aspect of the pack with our tank warrior to train the boss while the group was killing the add. Later on some other boss I was using a frost trap on a flock of undead to slow them down.
In MC, apart from the tranq, I was also asked to use Eyes of the Beast to pull packs of trash mobs toward the group. And with Lucifron I was pulling apart the adds towards off tank with distracting shots.
