In Zul’Dazar there are 2 or 3 different named hippos uses for WQs. Are hippos really that threatening that we have to kill them mercilessly?

Guess you could say hippos are the wasps of the mammal kingdom. Wicked, nasty and if you are in their way, won’t be much left of you if you’re caught.

In South Africa, I saw signs posted on the road to beware of hippos coming up on the road from nearby waters. They can run really fast and routinely kill people there.
PS the second scariest animal I saw in the wild was the elephant. They are very territorial and will kill you in a minute. Lions are not the kings; elephants are. But hippos kill more people.

That’s because if an elephant hears or smells you coming, they’ll move away from you. If you surprise one, though, it’ll turn you to paste.
Hippos do not roll that way. Hippos are murder machines.

Hippos kill way more people than crocodiles. I think they outdo shark kills as well.

In real life. Hippos are VERY territorial. They will take you entering their water near
where they are, as a threat. They will kill you if you linger.

Perhaps the WoW versions need to reflect this. Make them do 10X the damage they do now, and make them hostile… No more cute, chubby beasties…
