High Elves are the example that Blizzard doesn’t care about what we think or say as a community and when releasing VE as an allied race over HE, it only further cemented their disdain for what we want/ask for.
Blizzard only have themselves to blame.
For years High Elves existed as NPCs in Classic. In TBC when Blood Elves were introduced, High Elves were introduced as their own alliance sub-faction, that fought against blood elves.
That conflict continued and developed story in Wrath, and again in Mist. Blizzard made it extremely clear as far as story is concerned, Blood Elves and High Elves were not the same.
Now the Silver Covenant seems non existant, yet High Elf NPCs litter Alliance areas, usually their portal keepers.
The “High Elves are on Horde waiting for you.” is purely a false creation of this current dev team.
You say “we.”
Or you know, Blizzard DOES care what we say and think and have decided not to aggravate over half the playerbase by catering to a whiny minority.
Food for thought.
Eh debatable, I’ve seen an overwhelming amount of support for high elves. If you look at the mega thread the fan base pretty much theory crafted all the work for blizzard. What we (the players who want high elves) actually got was a half baked sorry excuse of a high elf. So as (we) see it you’re the whiny half of the player base.
High Elves will eventually happen, love it or hate it. Why? Cha-ching! $$Money$$.
Reputable cite that actually proves ANY numeric case that says high elves are “overwhelmingly” supported by the playerbase, please.
Blizzard is a meme. Don’t you have a phone, OP?
They are the ones shielding the ship in that warfront. Most of the High Elves in the Alliance are Rangers and Mages, the priests/pally are a Blood Elf thing not as much for the remaining High Elves.
Hi all, I’m a void touched High Elf, why is everyone saying I’m not a High Elf?
Look at the threads here on the fourms.
I do agree that if alliance were to ever get the high elves they want. They should not be allowed to be paladins.
because you were a blood elf. all blood elves gave up the high elf part of their lives. hence why the high elves are an enemy of the blood elves
So the answer is no, you have no such proof. A vocal minority of a vocal minority (5% or less of the playerbase uses the forums) is far, far from an “overwhelming support of the playerbase.”
Blood Elves are half or more of the Horde population, so clearly the “majority” is just fine with them being on the Horde.
So if you want to join the High Elves… the Horde is waiting for you.
you too have no proof that the majority of players dont want them. using your own example. so until blizz does a poll on all platforms we will never know the true amount
Name> Race.
Two different things.
Same with vulpera ,horde already have them but in green.
they no longer see themselves as the high elven race they once were. not hard to comprehend
I didn’t say I did. Except that everyone playing a Blood Elf is clearly ok doing it.
But it’s the pro-helf side usually loudly proclaiming that the playerbase “wants” High Elves and that Blizzard is ignoring the majority. I’m pretty sure Blizzard can look at how many people play Blood Elves and understand it’s fine as it is.
Err, completely unrelated except for the skeletal rig.
Not at all the same as “exactly the same species but with a different name.”
It’s harder for me to comprehend where you got the idea that they don’t consider themselves “the same RACE”. lol
It even says here on the official site that they are High elves.
Let me explain it another way: It’s like saying that if a group of traitors formed their own faction-- let’s go with Silver Covenant. That the name of their faction is also the name of their actual race lol.
