I’m a super casual player trying to find a main this expansion. Primarily do world PvP and random BG’s. I’d like a class that can confidently win 1v1s if I play correctly.
Is feral a good pick for me?
Feral isn’t for the feint of heart.
Its not for everyone.
Yes it can easily win in a 1v1 thus played correctly.
But there are feral druids.
And then there are people who can actually kitty.

There is no class in the game that wins 1v1’s just because you “played correctly.” That’s only one element of many things that aren’t even in your control. Sometimes people outgear you. Sometimes people outplay you. Sometimes your opponents class/spec/race/covenent has advantages over your class/spec/race/covenent. Sometimes the environment shows up and makes things weird. Sometimes RNG happens and the guy’s trinket/enchant procs something powerful or yours doesn’t.
Certainly being really good at world pvp and being casual are things that rarely go together, since gear and skill are both things that take time to develop, and being at a 20 average ilvl disadvantage to someone is pretty huge.
If open world PvP is your thing and you are interested in what Feral can do in the hands of a good player, check out Soulscape on youtube/twitch, he normally plays feral or survival in world pvp content.
I think Feral is particularly interesting for world pvp just because of shadowmeld + flightform, and how much space the open world provides for kiting given how fast moving and hard to pin down Ferals can be.
The crowd control, burst and immunity is a lot worse than Rogue, but sustain and resistance to crowd control is a lot better.
