Hey, y’all. I posted on here with some issues a few weeks ago about my internet. My modem was having issues that was making it nearly impossible to play the game, as my MS would never stay consistent, and would often skyrocket to unplayable levels. I tried several fixes, including Wifi Boosting, and I’ve even ordered a new WiFi antenna.
That had me thinking though: from what I was told here, it seemed to me that the best way to resolve my issues was through an ethernet cable. The issue there being that the only room in my house with ethernet plugs is a wall away, so I would either have to get a 50 foot long cable, or drill a hole into my wall.
But I’ve read about ethernet adapters–the type that you plug into a wall outlet–and wanted to ask if anyone knew much about them, if they work, and how well do they work in general? Any information would be extremely helpful. For some extra information on my part, the WiFi Booster/Extender I used was a TP-Link, and it did have an ethernet plug on it. I did try plugging it into my desktop, but it did nothing to improve my connection in online games.
Thanks y’all! Also, if there is a better topic page to post this one, please let me know.
