Are enh shaman squishy?

I got my shaman to 68 and mobs are starting to put a hurting on my health bar. Once you get some gear does that squishy-ness go away?

The most recent classes I leveled were this lock and a pally. They were like gods among mortals from start to end. Not a fair comparison I know.

Yeah, they’re pretty squishy at most levels of play. They’re VERY STRONG at max level with good gear, but the biggest thing gatekeeping them from being used in extremely high M+ all the time is the fact that they’re one of the squishiest overall specs in the game.

They are wannabe warriors

Yes.

Yes.

Because Blizzard considers reincarnation a defensive.

It is often said as such, it has always felt differently for me though.

As long as using a full maelstrom stack to heal when low instead of a damage spell (when the heal button glows) is usually a full or near full heal (though not as much since recent changes, but still usually a large chunk) at even lower gear levels I can kill groups and not feel squishy, not even touching astral shift or golem.

I personally feel squisher on any other non-pet or in tank spec class (I am an alt aholic with at least one of every class)

Holy crap i forgot about that. This class needs to organize and get better representation inside Blizz.

Didnt happen when Blizzard actually had class reviews and class devs/etc. Not gonna happen now.

I do this for a living. We need to get on the same page in terms of what we want. None of that GD contrarian nonsense.

Oof…that’s disappointing. I really enjoy the playstyle of enh but being squishy sucks.

Shamans and druids are the squishiest classes in the game. Enhancement shaman and balance druid respectively lead the top death counts in their respective role categories for M+ stats.

That can happen in those 67-69 levels due to scaling, even at 70 before you start to gear up.

Just wait till you do arenas. You think they’re squishy now? Lol

For what it’s worth, Enhancement already had one of the best-designed spec trees in the game prior to 10.2 and 10.2 somehow managed to make it even better, and the class as a whole has the best class tree in the game because it’s all utility-centric which means you can mix and match all sorts of stuff to fit the situation.

They clearly care about Enhancement, at least. Ele and Resto desperately need a raid buff.

Here OP, take it from someone who has been Enhancement since BC.

We’ve been squishy for a while, but that’s because we only have one damage reduction spell, Astral Shift.

Our toolkit is basically using self-healing as our damage reduction if that makes sense? The loadout I use from WoWhead gives me Healing Stream Totem as well.

I suggest playing as a Regular Draenei as a shaman, people laugh but Gift of the Naaru has saved my glorious azure keister more than once, can even cheese some raid mechanics that require you to heal an NPC; made Kale’thas a breeze and it helps heal the tree in Amirdrassil during Talondel (or whatever his name is).

We make up for being squishy by being a proverbial chainsaw.

That used to be not the case, up until maybe MoP, Enhancement used to be nerfed below sea level.

Look man, if you think you can convince Blizzard to hire class specific devs. Go for it.

I heard Blizzard hired a crash dummy to review the Shaman Class.

My 68 shaman is a draenei! It’s the highest level draenei I’ve ever had and I love the race.

This is the problem with your idea.

People aren’t on the same page because they don’t want the same things.
