Are DK's good for the open world?

All I do is Nazjatar, mechagon and world questing, looking for a good solo class with a tanking spec. Got really tired of my shaman. Are DK’s good for this? Looking specifically at UH spec, and switching to blood when needed for stronger enemies.

Yup, BDK can solo anything in Nazjatar. Unholy has plenty of AoE damage and burst single target, but it’s not mobile and most it’s ranged abilities have only 30 yards of range.

I tend to quest in the spec that I want to run most often. Blood DK is a lot of fun. I do like Unholy and thankfully some of the gear you have for one can cross over to the other, but aside from being a little low on damage output I’ve had no issues at all questing all over in Tank spec.

BDK is great for solo pve even at lvl 115. I can pretty much take on most anything. I also play a Prot Pally alt, but still like BDK more. Give it a try, the intro to Death Knight is also fun.

Id say we are. Blood DK is still pretty much immortal out in the open world. It will take a little longer to kill stuff, but they’ll die eventually and you’ll be near full health still.

Unholy is great with its AOE. That being said, at the launch of 8.2 the mobs in Naz and Mech seemed to beat on me and killed me a few times. But now that im geared and have decent essences, i melt down full mob packs with ease. Plus Army of the Dead is great for soloing those group WQ bosses
