M+ is also toxic so Im glad they put in an alternative gearing option for us snowflakes
I’m not talking about the rewards. I’m saying that when the player is at that ilvl range, T8s are usually a decent challenge.
I say this from having played it as Elemental Shaman, Destro Warlock, BB and MM Hunter.
And soon-ish, Fury Warrrior and WW Monk.
The rewards are fine.
As for roles, I’m alienating no one as every class can DPS and it’s the default WoW experience for any new character.
Singling out Healing/Tanking would be the alienating option.
Solo content has always been designed for DPS since Vanilla, with tanks and healers getting their pros and cons on it, usually being able to do better in exchange for a longer time commitment.
And like I also said, DPS should be the starting point. Once every DPS spec is properly balanced for Delves, other roles would get their “pass”.
Their “one glove fits all” approach over it isn’t really riveting.
I mean you’re the one making the assumption. You only get 554 no matter what you run it on, unless you use keys. Which you only get 4 of per week, so really you only want to use them on bountiful 8’s. Which is lame.
It’s also awful how many delves are awful to run, how inconsistent everything is including CC which Brann breaks all the time, etc.
I don’t even have to do M+ anymore to get decent loot this is great
Yeah I said it, what? I’ll just be over here solo’ing T8s for an hour while watching Netflix.
Then you weren’t thinking too hard about them.
T8s don’t give good loot unless they are bountiful… solo them all day long if you want.
I will all day and night!
There are certainly raiders and mythic+ players doing delves for a quick path to run the group content they want to run, but delves were intended for people that don’t care about that stuff.
I intend to run delves long after gearing just to get achievements and complete whatever journeys come up. I don’t care at all about m+ and high-end raiding, they simply do not appeal to me and there is a very large population of players that feel the same.
Delves aren’t finished with S1. The opportunity for progression in them is wide open.
I like Delves, M+ and raiding. The rewards from M+ should be better imo.
In a week or two it won’t matter too much. M+ will be much easier for all of us.
Enjoy your amazing 554 loot.
People complaining about delves having amazing loot are ignoring a ton of issues to come to a conclusion they want and no facts will change that. Like that mythic raiders will do anything they can to get an advantage and that Blizzard’s response is essentially to nerf everyone else. Like with valor stones. Mythic raiders ran stacked normal and heroic dungeons to farm valor stones – the moment they become useless to them Blizzard nerfs the drops and tells players too bad.
Wow! If only there was some sort of cap on the number of runs they could do a week to get that 603 gear…
Yes.
Unbelievably easy. You get 603 ilvl loot with a chance for 610 from the Map things.
Pick the right spec and you just walk through and collect the loot at the end. There is no difficulty at all, things just do a lot of damage, and have a lot of health.
That is equivalent to M+5 and better than normal raid loot. It’s completely absurd.
Depends on the class.
I just hit 602 ilvl last night on my destro-hellcaller lock and that is simply not the case. Did Bountiful T8 Spiral Weave last night as a 600 and had to follow mechanics and be careful with pulls. Solo delves, when you’re pushing yourself, are not faceroll and require smart play.
The rewards are equal to the effort required.
No they aren’t, not even close.
Effort required for clearing T8 Delves - Be Prot spec, walk to the end, loot box.
My experience says different.
Being a tank in a damage heavy solo situation, WITH a healer, will be easy, but there are two other specs people play that have nothing like that.
You’re trying to justify your “delves are easy argument” by talking about how easy they are for tanks alone. That’s a very narrow perspective and not in any close to what the majority experience.
4 guaranteed pieces a week is still better than hoping RNG blesses you with anything in M+ or raid.
And you’re still getting your vault credit for another guaranteed higher level piece.
Expecting blizz to give out spammable max rewards in the easiest endgame mode is delusional.
Delves are better than low M+, but not high. The rewards are fine as they are for a solo endgame pillar.
Even if fulled decked in 610+ you can still die if you doze off (which happens after you get enough gear since enemies become mostly pushovers) and get hit by something important or overpull.
T9-11 should drop better stuff and more crests, while keeping vault the same.
Delves make it easier to get hero 4/6, but you can’t get past that, unlike in M+.
If anything, M0 and early M+ should get a better gearing pass since they feel harder than T8 delves.
The M+ changes to vault and crest drops were uncalled for too.
Anyone thinking delves are better for gearing clearly doesn’t understand the game.
Good luck upgrading your gear on delves only. The trinkets are awful on top of it.
How many M+ can you run a week? How many times do you get the same exact slot each week with Delves? Also, no one made the argument that they need to give out max anything. Crying that some people who aren’t competing with you and just doing their own thing and getting gear is a lazy argument. In DF season 1 and 2 I did the mythic thing and stopped because it was frustrating getting useless vault gear and I farmed up the items I needed from them. I don’t raid really so that was my best option. Now they have given me an option to get – not even close to the max rewards… and people are crying that 4 603 items a week is just too much! It is beyond silly. Just say what you mean – you don’t think anyone who doesn’t do mythics deserves loot. Having a loot complex is weird.
Yeah this is dumb, only so far as you are saying “wanna tank or heals, sucks to be you” not a good idea
