LFR be like that too. I’m wondering why I’m even queueing, if not just for the mogs. At 590 ilvl, nothing I would get from it is an upgrade of any kind.
Good luck getting into groups without rating.
Not this cloth class
Ah yes, the regularly scheduled troll post to try and get delves turned into even more of a train wreck. Well, more like intended to bait people by creating the illusion of this being the case, but still.
Took 20 years for solo players to actually receive a progression pillar of their own and of course the mythic sweats want it gone already.
I mean, I’m not at all surprised it was completely expected, but I figured you guys would at least wait until season 2 before turning on the water works. At least let some of the dust settle before going thermal nuclear.
Maybe a bit for solos after the people on the forums successfully whined enough to get solo delves nerfed.
I don’t think so, you can still get a piece with bad secondary stats for your character and most of the trinkets suck. I think its more like, the looting reward of early Mythic+ and Normal raid is just bad in comparision. It seems like they really want Mythic+ for e-sport tryhards now or something. But eh might as well, I was never really that into Mythic+ anyway.
I mean sure. Solo players are out there and doing what they can do with 4 keys every week and 1 extra piece waiting on the vault… other than that it’s just a certain group of trolls that enjoy seeing others suffer through M+ queue decline simulator I think.
laughs in tank that can get into 7+ with no rating because i literally did it today.
Idk man, sounds like a DPS problem to me.
Haven’t done mythic plus in a while. They sure were picky though. Maybe it’s the tank shortage. Gotta level my tanks though. Just don’t have as much time as I used to binge wow.
Too late to put the genie back in the bottle, but either delves should have given worse vault slots (maybe hero track gear at 10 or 11 instead of 8) or they should have rolled back the changes they made to M+ vault to what they were in DF
They’re easier than heroic dungeons were.
Funny seeing all the 600+ toons with no raid or m+ saying they’re fine.
How would you know?
The issue is that the best gear in the game needs to be accessible to the average player. T8 delves seem like a good spot. Hopefully Blizzard moves to this dynamic, as not many people want to bother spending all their time upgrading subpar gear in 2024.
M+ and mythic raids can be for titles.
WoW is better suited as a task driven OCD scratcher than an esport.
I’ve never liked the sweaty dynamic of M+. I don’t like nor agree with the “e-sport” mentality and the “gogogo vibes” that have been established in the design of Mythics.
I prefer a slower and steadier gameplay style to enjoy the game and take my time doing things, including gearing up. (Even though I enjoy PvP from time to time)
So, Delves it is.
Those who prefer Delves can prioritize them for gear, and those who prefer M+ can focus on M+. Everyone’s happy.
So the best gear should come from easy solo content, essentially just give it to everyone.
And harder group content should just be for titles?
If we really want to destroy the game lets do that, put all the gear on easy solo content. And put all the pets, mogs, and mounts in content harder than +4 and heroic raids.
Well, Blizzard can appeal to a small minority, or a larger player base. People don’t want to bother upgrading subpar gear. It’s just how it is. The point of playing is to upgrade gear. So that should be something worth doing. The current model doesn’t work anymore.
I’m not suggesting people who clear content that requires lots of time to practice playing with others don’t deserve better gear. I’m just saying a byproduct of that is a smaller playerbase.
I mean…it’s really just been the same 3-4 people complaining that the common plebs will have semi-decent gear, and those peoples entire sense of worth is based on having higher numbers than everyone else.
Here’s the problem with the situation.
Conpared to delves, it’s much harder leading or getting accepted to a pug, completing content that takes longer and requires more experience and skill to be successful at, and then they get a lessor reward?
How would you feel if you put in a 60 hour work week, did an excellent job, and some intern came in surfed the web for 10 hours and got paid twice as much as you?
However that intern wants to justify their better pay for less work, is it really justified?
And really the worst part about this is having to do so many of these gawd awful delves instead of M+ because they gear you so much faster.
As someone who pushed rank 13 in the vanilla honor system, I know what you mean when talking about time/effort vs. reward. The problem is, the vanilla honor system stopped working as something that appealed to the general playerbase. The same thing is happening with the current gear progression system. People don’t want to spend time upgrading gear that is subpar, so they don’t. They play something else.
Right now is when the population will start dropping off. And Blizzard knows it too. This is the reason.
It’s as justified as it was to end the vanilla honor system. You have to go with the times. You can’t cater an entire game to a small percentile of the playerbase and expect it to work out forever.
It sucks that such a move would ruin the game for many M+ and mythic raid pushers. I get it. Trashing the vanilla honor system ruined it for me way back when. But I get why it had to change.
Ya I got to 11 on my own without account sharing. Horrible experience.
But they didn’t leave it there and start giving out better rewards for solo quests.
